Hi, I have been thinking about ordering Dr. Mercola Krill oil as a supplement to help with inflammation in my 5 year old tabby, Archie.  When I searched for it on Amazon, TerraMax Omega 3 Fish Oil also showed up.  Like Mercola, TerraMax comes in a pump and it's quite a bit less expensive.  Before I try it, I thought I would check to see if others have any experience with this brand. Or if there are reasons I should order the Mercola instead.

I did search for TerraMax, but nothing showed up.  Any help would be most appreciated.

We have used Wellactin in the past.  It's formulated especially for kitties.

Thank you.  I'm still a bit confused about the benefits of salmon vs krill oil.  I might just try both to see if I notice any benefit.

I've been thinking of ordering Krill, but haven't yet. It sounds like a great supplement for felines.  I DO have a quart-sized bottle with pump of a Salmon oil--and most of the cats, of course this includes the 4 who need it the most!--DON'T LIKE IT!  They don't like granular l-lysine or powdered PlaqueOff, or several other supplements they really need--SO Frustrating!!  If you get the krill oil, please let me know how that goes, with yours (not that mine will have the same reaction!).  BTW, Swanson's has very good prices on many products.  You might want to check there.  I've composed several lists of supplements I'm considering buying for my cats.  Several Carts are getting more and more full, and pricier by the day!

Thought of something else.  Several places, I've seen Nordic Naturals recommended.  Since I've had such disastrous results with the Salmon oil, I'd like to try NN, but it, too, is pricey.  My local health food store carries it, and I plan to go back and check the cost for the smallest bottle they have--plain, no funky (for cats) flavors like lemon or orange!  Of course, if I get it and they refuse it, I can always take it, myself!

I have done a tonne of research and this it the brand I landed on. Every batch is tested by an independent lab for toxins, heavy metals, and oxidation. You can enter the batch number and see the test results.

Thank you.  And thanks to everyone else.  I already ordered the Mercola.  When that runs out, I will try the ascent health.  Hopefully, Archie will tolerate it.  He's kind of a picky eater, so we'll see.

Where do you get yours?  Apparently it cannot be ordered online and when I put in my location, response was there are no stores there.  Thx.

Zed Xyzed, Amazon is one of the places I've got things in a Cart, waiting for me to decide exactly what to get for me and for the cats.  Just now added this item to my Cart.  If these persnickety guys don't like it, I'll send it to you, free, lol!

It is mildly fish flavoured, I found out when one morning I mixed it up with my Omega 3 supplement and took a whole tablespoon of it LOL. So it is not really strong tasting

So far, both Archie and Lucy seem to like the Dr. Mercola Krill oil.  At least they are eating their food with a squirt on top.  I'm giving it once a day.  In a few weeks, I will probably increase the the dose to twice a day if they continue to tolerate it.

As a quick followup, Archie has been on the Krill oil for close to one month.  I gave him one pump for about 10 days, then increased to dosage to two pumps - once at breakfast and a final pump at dinner.  I have to say that I have noticed a dramatic improvement in Archie's mobility and temperament. He definitely feels better; he's more energetic and playful and has returned to perching on my lap.

Despite the expense, I think the Krill oil is worth the entry price.
