Hello,

My 19 year old cat has a very large and worrying lump that has increased in size over the last 6 months (please see the photo).

The lump is situated above the eye and is growing over it. It is weeping what looks like blood. It appears to have a scab over some of the lump but not all.

She doesn't seem to be in any distress at all and is eating well but is frail.

The tests conducted by the vet are inconclusive and the vet is reluctant to subject her to any further tests due to her age and frailty.

We know that the outcome is very unlikely to be good, but we are wondering what to expect and what we are dealing with. A photo is attached, any advice on how to proceed with our much loved cat would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I would seek a second opinion.  That doesn't look good and it doesn't look like it's fun to live with for her.

I definitely would get another opinion. It seems like something can be done, even with her age and fragility.
