I took my 9 year old cat to his vet on 3/1/16. He was having some issues with his ears and he was constantly licking his lips and was a little lethargic. The vet does the physical exam and notices 2 teeth were red and inflamed and needed to be extracted. She took him into back room to draw blood and was unable to draw blood. Brought my boy back in and vet said she would try again to get his blood. No luck. She then said he would need an antibiotic and she gave him the Convenia. They wanted to get me in today (3/5) to try to get his blood again. I called back the following day 3/2/16 and asked if they could give perhaps a sedative for the blood draw. The girl at the desk said she would ask the vet she returned and said the vet is suggesting I take my boy to another vet who is specialized in dental that is rather far from me. Really frustrated from all that. I sought out another local vet because now he's really lethargic and having sneezing fits. I take him to new vet next day 3/2/16 she looks him over bladder feels fine, ears have a little yeast, looks in his mouth and said he would need extractions - we schedule his dental the soonest was 3/29/16. I was given a pain medication for him. What concerns me he isn't eating much, the sneezing fits seem to be getting worse and he isn't urinating but every 12 hrs or longer. He usually goes more than that. I am wondering if the Convenia is making him feel worse.
