So I've been playing about both my cats, but as I'm doing litter boxes I thought I'd throw this out there....
My 4 year old male, who currently has intercystitial cystitis but is doing better, has for a long time had these strange poops, pretty much since my other kitty has been on gastro fibre food. They're quite large and formed and he has them once a day, but they're a very weird texture, almost springy or spongy, they tend to be a little "flattened" as well. I would call them ribbon-ish but they're not thin; they're larger and thick, but appear to be flattened. It all stays formed and stuck together, but it's almost springy and spongy in nature; super weird.
He's supposed to eat his duck based food for possible allergies or even IBD, and he's back on probiotics, but he does eat some of the gastro food too because he is a glutton. He drinks plenty of water and is concentrating his urine well.
It's been tested several times for parasites, blood etc, and none to be found. Anyone else have experience with this?
