Hello everyone.
Okay so, my 2 year old cat has been a little weak ever since I adopted her. But recently she started vomiting and had fever twice in a matter of 4 to 5 days which made her even more weak and she wouldn't eat a single kibble. My vet suggested me to assist feed her till she gets her appetite back. Now she has started eating but very very less at a time. 5,6 kibbles I guess. I gave her wet food and she only licked the gravy out of it lol.. What'd you guys recommend till how many days should I assist her in feeding? It's been 4 days since I started.
Thanks for your time.

I would be getting tests done to find out why she has these symptoms.

Actually, she used to be in the streets before I got her. That is why she got some kind of skin infection and the vet recommended to get her shaved back in Winter. Because of which she caught cold which resulted in fever. These symptoms are gone now. She's back to normal, but very very weak [emoji]128532[/emoji]

P.S. I'm feeding her boiled chicken (along with the water I used to boil the chicken in) mixed with fancy feast (also chicken) I blend this mixture until it forms a paste and feed her via syringe.

It sounds like she needs veterinary treatment to me. It's very dangerous for cats to stop eating - as little as 48 hours with little to no food can cause major health problems.

Provided she can keep food down, the best course of action at this stage is syringe feeding with a prescription high energy food like Hills a/d.

You really do need to find out what's causing all this - vomiting and fever are worrying, especially to this degree.[article="33011"][/article][article="32998"][/article]

These symptoms are gone now. The vet told me that she was vomiting because of fever. Thanks for the link, I'll check them ou.
