Please help. Cat's third eyelid showing.

My 13 yo.daughter put monthly flea medicine on our 1yo kitty. It was Pet Armor plus. I have used several times without a problem. Since she had the med, her third eye is showing! There has been no chg in behavior. I think she may have rubbed some in her eyes. There is no drainage. We have washed.her face with warm water. I am on a fixed income and I can't afford a vet. Help!

I think you did the right thing by washing her face. How's she doing now?

Her eyes look better early morning then by evening the 3rd eye is again prominate. There is still no drainage and has not effected her behavior. I'm still worried. Should this resolve on its own?

I think that any effects of the flea medicine getting in her eye would have worn off by now. There could be some other reason for her eyelid to show like that.  

A cat's third eyelid shows whenever a cat is feeling unwell. It's a good indicator of their health and an early warning sign that something is wrong. It could be a sign of anything from a cold or hay fever to an eye infection. If she has no other symptoms and her eyelid only shows occasionally it doesn't sound that serious. Keep a close watch on her behavior, if it seems to be getting worse or if she develops other symptoms you might need to see a vet, but for now it doesn't sound like an emergency.
