Based on the ingredients and consistency, it appears to be similar to Tiki Cat. My mother in law got a free sample in the mail so I tried out on my cat. He loved it!

I found it in the grocery store and snapped a photo.

It is $1.29 for a 2 oz tray.

I've seen it in the stores. They sent me a sample too but the one they sent me has fish in it so I haven't fed it yet. I won't buy it without it being on sale  AND with coupons. $1.29 for 2 ounces? That's .65 cents an ounce. I get a case of 24 3 ounce cans of Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken from Amazon for $30.00. That works out to $1.25 a can or .42 cents an ounce.

Purely FF White meat chicken in a delicate broth:

chicken, chicken broth, sunflower seed oil, calcium lactate, tricalcium phosophate, guar gum, xanthan gum, choline chloride, salt, potassium chloride, zinc sulfate, taurine, magnesium sulfate, ferrous sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, niacin, vitamin e supplement, calcium pantothenate, vitamin a supplement, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, riboflavin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, potassium iodide, folic acid, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of vitamin k activity), biotin, vitamin B-12 supplement

Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken

Chicken (Boneless, Skinless, White Breast Meat), Water Sufficient For Processing Balance, Potato Starch, Sunflower Seed Oil, Dicalcium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Nicotinic Acid (Vitamin B3), Ferrous Sulfate, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Potassium Iodide, Manganese Sulfate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Copper Sulfate, Riboflavin Supplement (Vitamin B2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement

I guess it's good that FF is adding better quality foods to the line but do they need that fancy packaging? Why is it only 2 ounces? Sometimes I use a can of Weruva or Soulistic Good Karma (which is often $1 for 3 ounces at Petco making it .33 cents an ounce- half the price per ounce of the FF) as a topper because they like the shredded chicken. When I do that, they are getting 1 ounce each. it's a lot harder to divide 2 ounces by 3.

I have nothing against Fancy Feast. Their turkey kitten food is a staple in our pantry because even when they are being super fussy and don't want to eat, they will usually eat that or the FF turkey & giblets. It seems like a good enough food, they just need to readjust their pricing because I think the whole point was that they were looking to market a super premium food to people who don't shop for pet food online or at independent pet stores. They are looking for the Target, WM, etc crowd. Most of them are not going to pay $1.29 for 2 ounces. I know I wouldn't. I try to avoid WM like the plague but I do like Target. I guess this will be good for some but not for us.

P.S. Chewy has a case of 10 for $10.39- that's at little more reasonable. $1.04 each or .52 cents per ounce. Amazon has been hitting the peyote or something again. They are getting $31.94 for 12 or $2.66 each.

I know! I don't get it about the price, either. Do they think it will be a convenience for people to buy it at the grocery store? Or that people who buy cat food at the grocery store won't know they can get a similar product elsewhere for less money? (I admit: until our previous cat got sick and I had to change her diet, I had no idea there were so many options in so many nearby stores.)

The thing that would prevent me from buying as a convenience or treat every now and then is the menadione. I just don't know why they put that in all their foods!

I never thought I'd see the day where FF was more expensive than Weruva. I also saw the menadione in there. Another reason to stick with the PLC.

I know, I didn't understand the pricing either. I think that it actually works out higher per oz than Tiki Cat.
