My cat gave birth the other day it was her first litter and she had five kittens none were stillborn and they are all healthy she even ate a couple hours afterwards but today she stopped eating her hard food and she only ate some sardines I had found, she's even drinking her water, but also earlier she threw up a lot and has been having liquidy poo. Is she sick? Should I take her to the vet?

When did she have the kittens and when did she last eat?  It makes sense that she would be recovering and a bit out of sorts for a day or two after delivery, but I would be concerned after that.  Did she deliver one placenta per kitten?

She could still be full if she ate all 5 placentas.  She may not want to leave the kittens for too long.  Is her food, water and litter box nearby?

We'd love some pictures.

you may want to speak to a vet. But if she ate all five placentas they could of made her sick. So could what you fed her. Try offering her some canned cat food and leave her dry food down and keep it fresh for her. I know after my two cats gave birth they also had a bit of the runs and didn't care for dry food much but gobbled up wet food.

Eating up all 5 placentas may disturb her system some.  So try and give her food which is easy to digest.  Can you get goat milk?  Otherwise, kmr the same as you would give to the kittens if it were necessary, is good too.

If she throws much / diarrheas, try to give her pedialyte instead of common water.   Bought flavorless pedialyte or home made.  Be sure she IS drinking.
