Hello my babies are Peanut and Mia aka Memus. I rescued both of them in different situations.

Mia was stuck in a pine tree for about 7 days. She was down my road and I couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from or what it was. A couple days later I came back and finally saw her up there. She was too far up to get so we called rescues, fire fighters, tree people.. Nobody would help. Finally when it was getting dark a man on a mini motorized bike came riding by and asked us what we were doing. We told him and he just climbed up there like a monkey and grabbed her, gave her to us then rode off into the sunset. He was the hero on the mini bike. :p All the while a curious fox was in the bushes watching this all unfold. We don't know whose cat she was and nobody claimed her, so we kept her. Mia (missing in action) chose me as her human.

Peanut's story is a lot worse. I knew this person whose cats kept having litters after litters. I went over one day to see the most recent litter. Her house was disgusting. You could smell the urine and feces everywhere. The babies were kept in one room with the mother. She informed me that one had already gotten "sick" and died and that there was another "sick" kitten. I told her to show me the kitten. She led me into the bathroom and there was a tiny kitten by the trash just laying there. It turned out that the mother had rejected the kitten and wouldn't feed her. This person just had hard food thrown on the ground and mind that these kittens were way too small to eat it yet. So this starving, not sick, kitten kept dragging herself to the bathroom trashcan to die on her own.
I took her home and fed her from a tiny syringe every two hours, day and night. The first week I didn't know if she would make it. She couldn't walk and she couldn't close her eyes because she was so dehydrated. I had to put drops in her eyes so they wouldn't dry. By the second week she was still with me and starting to walk. It was apparent this ordeal had damaged the development in her hind. She was very shaky back there and couldn't control it very well. I remember cuddling her in a blanket the second week because I would not leave her side. In that blanket she gave me her very first pur and it was the best feeling.
She got stronger each week and for a few months she had problems controlling her hind legs. She couldn't squat to potty so she would get poo all on her back legs and then jump onto my bed to cuddle, every morning without fail lol.
Now she's a perfect baby four years later. She can control her hind just fine now, but her back legs and hips are tiny because of the muscle damage. She's also the size of a 6 month kitten that's why her name is Peanut. She's the sweetest baby and loves to cuddle and give kisses, I'm grateful for her every day. If I hadn't went over to that house on that day she would have passed.

Welcome to you, Peanut and Mia.
They both have such moving stories - you would never know their pasts from looking at their photos.  They look so content and healthy and both are beautiful.  Bless you for rescuing them both.  Timing played such a big role here.  The motorcyclist coming by at just the right moment... You visiting Peanut's first "home" when you did.  I'm just horrified to hear of her being abandoned like that, poor little mite.  Thank heavens you took her home and saved her.  That could not have been easy.   I hope to hear more about Peanut and Mia in the future!

They're my babies and I'm so lucky to have them in my life. :)
Of course I found them at separate times but since they first met they've never had any issues. They love eachother so much and cuddle constantly.
