Hi everyone,

First time message. Love this forum, so much useful information.

I have a long haired big cat 4 years old. Over the last 6 months or so I have noticed a black dot in the left eye. Now this dot is much bigger and another dot beneath this eye has developed. He does not show any signs of illness (his name is Jerk by the way , my husbands idea when we first got him) Just wondering if this is a health issue which would warrant a visit to the vet?

Thanks
Derb

Hi Derb,

Welcome, and yes, a vet visit is warranted in this case. Being there was one spot and now there are two, it is something a qualified vet needs to check out.

Hi Derb, i agree as well with taking Jerk to the vet, it could be nothing.

I has a similar experience last year with Rosies eyes, it cost £20($40) just to see the vet but it was money well spent to put my mind at rest.

It turned out the small white patches in her eyes i saw had something to do with the reflections behind her eyes.

Let us know what happens.

Susan
