I am so excited I thought I would jump on and update were I am at with Jatt and Loki! Jatt practically runs the house and is adorable, he snuggles a night with me always making sure his head and paws are on making contact with my hand .. Loki who was the challenge and completely feral after nearly 5 weeks of being in the bathroom and gently winning him over with playtime and treats he has finally let go.. Tonight I couldn't find his wand mouse and I had been working all day so I just went in with some chicken and then the most amazing thing happened he gobbled up his chicken and then started purring and let me pat him .. Properly! Not just me having a sneaky pat .. He snuggled all over me letting me pat his head which I never thought would happen! He jumped in my lap and it was like a totally different cat! He was an absolute snuggle pot .. It was like he couldn't get enough! I am so in love with both of them and thankful they aren't the petrified angry animals that they once were but now know what it is like to be loved! Thank you for your support and guidance. XoTam

What incredible news!!!  I can just feel your joy.  There is nothing more special than working with a feral cat and the day they finally relent!!  It is quite the special moment.  I have had many tears of joy when working with my feral cats.

Please share some pictures of Jatt and Loki when you get a chance.  Thanks for the update!!

I loved reading this.  I just recently brought my feral baby indoors to live for good, it took me a good year and a half to get to that point of trust, and I vividly remember the first time he jumped in my lap.  You definitely feel the love!

Thanks for sharing the pictures.  They both look very relaxed.  Neutering will be a great thing for them both!

I have had my share of feral/stray cats.  I have brought two inside ( yet one passed away), I currently have 3 outside and have had others that after TNR decided to move on.  The three I currently have living outside are all now semi feral as I have worked and worked with them.  They have a wonderful shelter that keeps them warm and dry.  I hope that some day they will all come to live inside my house.  For now the time is not right for us both.

If you want to read about some of the cats I have experienced, you can click on the link in my signature and read about them on my blog.

The cats have brought more joy to my life than I ever thought possible.

Hi Shadowsrescue I tried to find your blog by clicking on your signature but couldn't so read the great advice you gave others .. Introducing my dog Cruiser (55 kg American Bulldog) will be the next challenge so got some great tips from your advice there. He gets along with my other house cat Roos so hopefully following your advice it should work out. Felt sad for you that your cat passed away , I am sorry to hear this :( the other semi- ferals you are working with are lucky to have you .. You are their guardian angel. I will keep trying to find your blog .. I am probably clicking wrong things!

I hear you Hbunny it's just something I think that will stay with us forever! I was so conflicted wether or not to cat trap them and bring them in .. My son said I was cruel for locking them in the bathrooms and I should be locked up instead lol but thank goodness it all worked out! Now my son comes in and goes straight to my room for cuddles with them so pretty sure he has learnt something to ... Mama is always right ( well mostly) haha you will have to post a pic of your feral baby. I would love to see. :)

Hello Hbunny sorry for late reply have had a lot going on. I love reading your post about the cats they are absolutely adorable! Love love love the pics I can feel the love he has for you all the way in Australia! Well Loki and Jatt are both in the vet getting neutered and chipped.. Yay !! I tried last week to get them in but Loki ran a muck on me so had to cancel with the vet and the mission was aborted! Another week of desensitising and I got him stress free! I have to keep swapping rooms also but not with the cats ... It's the dog!! Forever going back and forth! Much love to you mama Hbunny.
