hi guys,

so i have three cats left after finally finding my foster kitties new homes and rescues to go to.

now that i have fewer cats to focus on, i can finally give mine the healthcare they need.

i've made appointments at a really nice low cost clinic that the foster network around me use.

i'm getting all three spayed/neutered, and all three rabies vaccines.

but i'm wondering what else they might need?

here's the list they have:

Vaccines (each)                          $15

Feline Leukemia Vaccine            $18
FELV/FIV Test                          $35
Heartworm Test                          $30
Nail Trim (during surgery)            $6
IV Catheter and IV Fluids           $35
Pre-op Bloodwork                      $85
Emergency Overnight Stay           $20
Ear Mite Treatment                      $10
Deworming                                   $14 and up
Elizabethan Collar                        $10 and up
Office Visit (sick or injured pets) $32
Microchip                                     $30
Heartworm Prevention                   Varies By Weight

Additional Pain Medication            $5 and up
Flea/Tick Prevention                    Varies by weight and species

so far,

$35 (with spay voucher) x 3 = $105

$15 x 3 = $45

= $150

they already have flea prevention, and have been getting that monthly for two months.

Other than the things you mention, there are four things, maybe five that jump out at me.  They may not all apply, depending on the your cats' backgrounds.

Feline Leukemia Vaccine:  If you're going to continue fostering cats, you should protect your resident cats.

FELV/FIV Test:  If they've never been tested, you might want to do so.

Deworming:  If they've not been dewormed before, you should probably have this done.

Microchip:  Always a good idea

and

Nail trim:  it's relatively inexpensive though of course, you can do this yourself.
