Hi! Im losing my mind. I have 5 foster kittens who were dumped in a park at 3 weeks old. They were all half a pound and after a week, diagnosed with ringworm. ( I suspected and had them cultured after the first day, but my vet said they were just young and had a really bad start). I had them confined to my spare bathroom and was very careful about washing my hands and wearing socks in but not out of their kitty lair. After a week of being super careful, they said so far the culture was negative so I didn't need to treat them like lepers. I stopped being overly cautious, then after 10 days my culture started turning color. To date, they have been lyme sulfur dipped every week for the past 5 weeks. It seems like their fur is suffering but the sores ae gone and pink skin is showing with some peach fuzz hair growth. I spot treat them with miconozole and they just started oral terbinifine 4 days ago. They pretty much had it all over their little bodies. In the meantime, my 4 pet cats all contracted it too and I totally blame myself. They have been on oral fluconazole for a little over 3 weeks and are looking better but they cannot be bathed or dipped unfortunately cause I tried one time and it went really badly. I vacuum, mop and bleach all my countertops daily. Do all the laundry immediately in bleach, my floors are laminate so Im using vinegar but am not convinced it does anything. I am an OCD clean freak and this is making me crazy. To top it all off, Ive been bathing my 3 big dogs once a week with Pure Oxygen shampoo as a preventative measure and today my dog came down with a spot on his eye. I had a major breakdown because I really thought I was beginning to win the battle. My dogs and cats sleep with each other all the time and mostly on my bed, but I wash all the bedding and dog beds every other day. Seems excessive right?  My vet says Im doing everything right and there is nothing more I can do, just gotta roll with it. Im putting miconozole cream on my dogs eye now but does he need oral meds too? Will this ever go away? My kittens are gonna be too big to get adopted pretty soon. I had to move them to a spare bedroom a week ago because there just wasn't enough room in the bathroom for them anymore. Comments? Suggestions? Im seriously losing my normally very cool mind.

You really have your hands full.  No wonder you are about ready to lose your mind - it sounds like a nightmare.  I don't have any experience with ringworm myself but have skimmed through this very long thread which has a lot of tips from people dealing with it.

Some members have had luck with colloidal silver, but there is controversy over how effective this really is.   The following thread discusses it from both sides:

Good luck, I really hope you get a handle on this soon.

Welcome to TCS!
The "book-length" thread linked to above is an absolute treasure trove and a great place to start for both information and reassurance. There are also some helpful articles, including a cleaning guide.
