I am really looking forward to trying this! I love how flexible it is (I'd love to make raw, cooked, and partly cooked) and that it's for boneless meat.

I've tried EZComplete and 3 out of 4 of my cats will eat it when mixed with chicken. I've only tried it with chicken so far. The sole hold out was Mr. Fussy Boy (Toby). At this point in time he is even turning up his nose at Fancy Feast which he usually devours.

All of my cats are going through a spell of refusing to eat raw after being on a 100% raw diet for 7 years. They all, even Toby, will still eat pork but anything else is hit or miss. So I'm using the EZC to try to restore their enthusiasm for raw. Of the 3 that will eat the EZC one eats it enthusiastically. The other 2 less so. I'll just have to see how it goes over the long term.

There are several advantages to EZC. A couple of which have already been mentioned:

- Only requires the addition of boneless muscle meat. No need to add organs.

- Can be used with cooked or raw meat.

- Contains no thickeners (such as guar gum) which some cats seem to be sensitive to.

- Contains Green Lipped Mussel to provide omega 3 fatty acids so there is no need to add salmon oil.

- The ingredients are all human grade.

- Uses eggshell as a calcium source and with it's lower phosphorus content may be appropriate foe use with cats requiring a phosphorus restricted diet.

There is much more information available on their web site.

I'm intrigued.  I recently tried TC Feline premix and my cats HATED it.  Because my cats liked Alnutrin (which requires fresh liver, which I couldn't get easily enough) I assumed they didn't like the powdered liver in TC Feline.  I wonder if this one is worth a try.

It would be nice if Food Fur Life offered a sample of the pre mix so people can give it a try. I would be willing to pay for a decent sized sample to try out

I ordered it last week and it should be here tomorrow, but I won't have a chance to try it out for a couple of weeks. Most of my cats eat meat with bone but my oldest eats boneless with Alnutrin and started refusing it when I mix fresh organs and then started vomiting when i added salmon oil, so it'll be a really big win for me if he likes this.

Same with my cats. They hated both TC feline and BITR, but they like Alnutrin.

I'm going to try some of this!
I've been wanting to try home cooked but never got around to trying. I really like the eggshell in the ingredients. I have a cat that battles constipation and the bone was something I was advised could exacerbate the problem. My kitties have been on grain free canned food for almost a year and doing well but this sounds like something I would like to incorporate and maybe be able to incorporate raw as well as the supplement works for both! Looking forward to placing my order & trying this! :D

I tried EZcomplete tonight for the first time with raw boneless duck from HT and most of my cats ate some. They don't really love lamb, so the fact they ate what i offered them was a bit surprising. A few of them wanted to lick the powder while i was making it, so it seems to be really palatable.

I'm not sure it'll be great for my Fluff, as he's really finicky and I feel like it might be "too much" supplements for him, since he's used to alnutrin which is more condensed and less supplement to add, but we'll see.

Has anyone else tried this yet? Thinking of giving up on Primal FD since my cats only like every other bag I buy of it. They LOVE one bag, and then refuse the next bag of the same flavor. If the taste/texture/smell is different, they turn up their noses. It's getting expensive to keep mixing bags and adding toppers to get them to finish their plate. I'd try Stella and Chewy's again, but they got kind of constipated with the high bone content.

They've never had actual raw (just freeze dried) - so I was going to try this with cooked turkey or chicken.

If you're part of the IBD raw feeding group, cat centric, or food fur life's fb page, there are several users there with reviews. Most responses to EZcomplete that I've seen are positive. I've also bought a second bag as my cats are still enjoying it. I've used it on cooked, partially cooked, and raw. EZcomplete is similar to u-stew, but way more palatable. My cats hated U-stew, but they want to lick up the EZcomplete powder. I think the liver flavor is strong, so if your cats like FD liver they'll probably like EZcomplete. I have one cat that doesn't like FD treats really and will only eat EZ sometimes, otherwise I just go with alnutrin,

How many ounces is the bag? I can't seem to find that info.

I'm just wondering how it compares in price to U-Stew. Hubby totally vetoed using U-stew, it's far more expensive than feeding the cats grain free canned and money is a issue for us.

The bag says 225g or 130 servings. I think EZ is a bit expensive, but its new so that's how it goes. I'm not using it exclusively, otherwise it would be very pricey for me because I have 8-9 that eat it.

Wondering if anyone else has tried EZ Complete? I've tried offering cooked meat to my cats before and none were very interested. However, Max is not eating well at the moment (it happens at least twice a year) and he has really taken to plain baked chicken. Considered ordering the smallest bag of EZ to try. This will be my first go at a home prepared diet.

Thoughts?

Lots of EZ users here, as well as on the cat groups on FB. I use it for both cooked and raw. If you contact the ladies at Food Fur Life they will send you a sample to try.

Definitely give it a try, @CatPack! One of our cats gets like yours, too, not wanting to eat, but she does much better when she gets a meal of EZcomplete each day. Our vet thinks it's the pancreas in it... I was thinking it was the digestive enzymes. Either way, it's great stuff. I use it for cooked food.

lisahe lisahe Thank you! Interesting about the pancreas vs the enzymes.

Max has had suspected cases of low-grade pancreatitis/triditis, nothing substantial has shown on blood work (including the panel done at Texas A&M that looks at malabsorption, etc...) nor on ultrasound, though some inflammation has been noted.

I just had another round of blood work done, including a T4, Pro BNP and the new SDMA test. His T4 is just below the "gray zone" at 2.4. Still waiting on BNP and SDMA. I will note that Max is only 5.

Just put in a request for the sample. Will let everyone know how it goes!

Also, is anyone aware of a similar supplement that doesn't use *any* chicken products?

Yes, @CatPack, please do let us know how it goes!

Ireland doesn't have any sort of diagnosis: she's a young cat who just seems a bit picky and used to occasionally lick her lips. But she's also a Siamese mix and they tend to have stomach issues; the cats were already on a canned/raw diet with very low carbs. Ireland wasn't so bad that I wanted to bring her in for a special appointment, my intuition just told me something was a tiny bit off. There's something about the EZcomplete that really improves her appetite and "mood": I really notice the difference and she's even gained a bit of weight. And the vet did, too, though she'd always thought Ireland looked pretty good, despite maybe being a bit skinny. (She's always been kind of a nervous, needy cat.)

EZc is the only supplement I've ever used and I'm not familiar with ingredients in others, sorry!
