I haven't been here for a while. But I wanted to give you guys a update. I have found homes for 11 cats in the past year. Can you believe it! I almost don't, lol. My husband pointed it out to me the other day. I only have 1 stray outside right now. She showed up at my door a month ago and was easy to trap and fix. Rose my last momma has a great home with a friend of mine at work so I get to see pics every day. Her 3 babies never left, at 4 weeks they all got very sick, fevers of 105 and stopped eating. When the vet told me it was distemper i felt like she hit me. I just knew they wouldn't make it at their age. My daughter and I cried to whole way home. I kept them in bed with me giving meds and milk from a bottle around the clock. I was afraid every time I went to sleep. But they all got better. I have no idea how my husband said they saw how hard my daughter and I were fighting for them and knew not to give up. Anyway they are our babies now and forever. 2 have only a out the house to go to the vet. The other one she loves going ride to the nursing home we us to visit my mom and any other person around, the pet store comes in 2st and the vet isn't even a big deal.

I hope ya'll are all doing great!
Remember they can see every thing you do to fight for them, and it helps just knowing you care so much.

Thanks, but I think I just got lucky. I never let the people at work know what I do for the cats, I was scared of the looks, what they would say, and problems that it would cause. (I'm a nurse at a pediatric clinic ) Well one day my daughter called me there she watched a cat get thrown out a car in front our house. I was so upset I told a girl at work and word got around quick. There was /are lots of looks and talk, but funny thing a dr who grew up in the city and was freaking out about all our night visitors asked me if a cat would really help. So I gave her my best little hunter. She was so happy so told everyone. Soon I had people for work and their families coming ask about cats. Lol
As for my 3 babies same thing lucky. I've never seen a kitten live through distemper before. I just wanted them to know they were loved and be comfortable. By the time they were better i couldn't let them go. Poor things never even got real names. We give temp so we it's easy to keep track but not get to close. They are are year next month and are still The Rut, Ba ba, and Sweet Girl.
