My attachment to cats began when, as still a small child, I got my firs (queen) cat. As she was a gray tabby, I named her Grisette (grise is French for grey). She was so friendly and intelligent that she turned me into a cat lover, and I have stayed one since then. I also have the impression that I must have been a cat in my previous life. :)

Over the years, I have participated at many boards of all kinds, almost always adopting a nickname connected to cats. But my favorite and usual one was taken in this case.

Apart from cats, my interests are computers, music (I play the guitar) and languages (I speak several).

Here's a scan of the first photo of my first cat, Grisette. A particularly nostalgic memory for me.

Welcome to TCS Bobkater. Grisette looks like she was a beauty. Could not help but notice she has 2 little black kitty friends posing with her. What's their story? Do you have any fur babies now? If so, we would love to hear about him/her, them, pictures included of course!. Again, welcome, and any problems, questions, etc, you've hit the right spot! So much knowledge about cats and friendship on this site, trust me!

Welcome to TCS!
You've come to the right place to find other cat lovers.  Do you have any cats now?  We'd love to hear all about them and see photos.  Lots of photos!  Grisette was a gorgeous girl and looks like she was a mama at the time of the photo.  You can tell she's smart, just looking at her expression.  Hope you enjoy the site - it's a very friendly place and a tremendous resource for cat-related information.

Thanks for the welcome.

This is a scan of an old print again.

Dauphin (French for dolphin) was the prince successor to the French throne. So this was Queen Grisette’s son, and my Prince Dauphin, docile and lovable, never scratched me once, not even superficially while playing.

Here he’s thinking he’s MGM’s lion.

Your Prince Dauphin was a very regal kitty, in keeping with his name.  What an adorable little guy.
