I will try the chicken and rice for her to let her heal then try to find a food that agrees with her that is affordable and she will eat.

I have a huge dilemma. I have said that I was keeping Sweet Pea from day one. I love her. But now Cleo has wormed her way in my heart and I don't know if I can let her go. She is asleep on my lap now. She follows me around when she sees me sitting on the couch she climbs up to my shoulders. She also licks on me all the time. I am in love.

I think I am going to try to. I talked to the rescue tonight and she thinks she has a home for the boys just waiting on them to be neutered and I think they will be together

A new symptom just started. She just threw up. It was the chicken and rice I made her undigested. At first I thought she would be ok now this is so puzzling.

It could be stomach upset from the antibiotics. When was her last dose?

I'm guessing it's the antibiotics upsetting her tummy. I really think you should feed the Hills ID while she's on the antibiotics.

I'm glad you'll keep both! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Lil Bit is doing well now. She is eating regular food. I am not feeding her as much wet as I was 5-7 cans a day. She gets about 4 now along with as much dry as she wants. That seems to work.

I am curious about something though. Bandit and Smokey will eat wet food great. It's so cute one is a really loud When he eats. Cleo and Sweet Pea though rarely eats wet food. They eat dry only no matter what I try. They drink well though I fill the bowl up a few times a day. The ones that will be leaving will be ready soon. The girls both weigh 1.12 ounces and the boys are 1.14 and 2 pounds. I think they  all will be 2 pounds by the end of the week. Then when they reach that milestone they will be spayed and neutered.

They are all precious! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

Some cats never develop a taste for wet food. Not much you can do about it other than trying different flavors, textures, and brands. I've had dry food only cats live very healthy lives.

It's great to hear that Lil Bit is better. That was very worrisome.

Will you be keeping two kittens still?

I really want to. The con to it is money but other than that I want to. The fact that we are only allowed one animal and I am pushing it with two. Another great thing happened this morning. Lil Bit was playing with the kittens this morning. She is feeling so much better.

When can I get clumping litter they will be two months old on Sunday?

For the most part they are going to the box but I seen two separate kittens squat in the same place. Is that an indicator they have used that spot before. How do I stop it? I need them trained fully before they go to a new home.

You can use clumping litter anytime that you feel they are no longer prone to eating the litter.

Clean the area with an enzyme cleaner and put a box there. That should help!

I suggest you go ahead and switch to clumping litter. It will make your life easier. I hate dealing with non-clumping litter.

Lil Bit may have coccidia. It causes horrible diarrhea, and the only drug that really gets rid of it is Ponazuril. Coccidia does not show up in regular fecal exams. It takes a special test. You may want to ask the vet about it. Is her diarrhea still yellow?

In the meantime, have you tried sprinkling probiotic powder into her food, and mixing in a tablespoon of pumpkin?

What drug did the vet put her on before and for how long? And did you try the ID food the vet suggested?

The medicine is Metronidazole it was for five days. I noticed this morning it has firmed up. Something I have noticed is she is trying to steal food a lot since coming from that weekend out. I can just feed her and then sit down to eat and she will beg like crazy. I try my best to keep her from it but sometimes the kids will just leave stuff around. The other day I found her eating a hot dog weiner. She was not happy with me when I took it. It's getting so bad I have to put her in the laundry room when we eat. The kids will give it to her if I am not watching.

The ID food was not taken at all. She ate it all the first time but after that refused it. She would do the sniff, scratch to cover and walk away. I still have some of the antidiaherra meds but since she is firming up I don't think I will give her any. But I will put pumpkin on my grocery list for today.

I am also going to get some clumping litter, Until this past week I had forgotten how bad non clumping is.

I forgot to add the kittens are ready to be spayed and neutered next week. Two are over two pounds and two are 1.14 when I weighed them the other day.

She also doesn't seem to show any interest in weaning them. She will come and call them waking them up just to nurse them. She does this four or five times a day.

Do you have spay/neuter appointments set up yet for the kittens?

That's good Lil Bit's poop is firming up. Is she getting enough cat food to eat? She sounds like she's starving!

I've found that clumping litter doesn't work as well as you'd like when there are a bunch of little kittens scratching around in it :/. However, I also agree that most non-clumping litter is terrible! Try Fresh Step non-clumping, the kind with activated carbon in it. It really works! Even for tomcats and stinky-poop kitties.
