I have a senior kitty (approximately 13 years old), and periodically he'll have issues completely pushing fecal matter out, so it just sits there until I remove it. He drinks normally and I give him wet food every night, but he still has some problems. He doesn't seem to be in any pain or experiencing discomfort, but I don't know if this is something I should take him to the vet over.

I will appreciate any suggestions and/or advice!

Side note: I don't know if this is important or not, but he does groom himself frequently.

He's probably just constipated.

Mix 1 TB of canned pumpkin (pure pumpkin, no spice) in with the wet food. Pumpkin works amazing for constipation!

That happened to my guy twice, when he was very constipated.

He needs more fiber, possible probiotic, and more wet food. I also add a bit of extra water to his food..try that...if it does not help, then we can suggest some more things...

It is because the stool has become so hard, gluelike or in my guys instance, like stones...
