Can someone please help. I have a kitten almost a year old. His mom is an outdoors kitty that showed up a few years ago and always brings her kittens to me. When she brought Sunshine, i call him, home he had apparently been attacked by something. He had a large gash in the top of his right hand side head just behind his ear. His ear had almost been ripped completely off. It all healed and he never seemed hurt or bothered by it. But his ear is lower on his head on the right side and u can feel where his skull isn't perfectly smooth there is a groove across the top of his head. He grew up acting lime a normal kitten. But then he started getting colds in his eyes. His third lid would cone up but he had always been a lover snuggled big purrer. As he unfolded the other kittens seemed to play mire and run around more and some days he would just lay in one spot. Two days ago i noticed he wad walking crooked having a hard time staying up on his feet. But the next morning he wad fine. The next morning i found him in the same spot i had left him. I picked him up and when i put him down he is unable to stand on back two feet. He has strength in front feet He is eating not drinking out of dish that I've seen but i just gave him spoonfuls of water that he lapped up. He is alert just unable to walk. I know its horrible but i don't have the ability to pay for vet care right now unless it absolutely necessary than i will have to find a way. Does anyone have any ideas? I read up on dehydration and strokes. Please u love this little baby he survived when he was so tiny i don't want him to die now

Hello!!

Your cat needs to see a vet ASAP. Bring the cat in and talk to them about a payment plan or care credit. If you need help finding a low cost clinic, please tell us where you are located and we will help you. This cat needs medical attention sooner rather than later.

Agreed that this cat desperately needs to see a vet.

Also, it would be amazing if you could get the mom spayed and keep her inside. Sounds like she's had a rough life.

Some vets have coupons for free first visits! I'm praying for your kitty. Wish I had more advice to give <3

Just repeating what everyone else has already said - this kitten needs to see the vet right away.   If you are in the United States, the following might help you find low/no cost vet care:

The Humane Society of the United States:  http://www.humanesociety.org/animal...ry_care.html?referrer=https://www.google.com/   Has a list of national resources as well as resources broken down by state.

Prince Chunk Foundation: Provides help with food and vet care.   856-302-6373  http://www.princechunkfoundation.org/veterinary-care-assistance.php

Best Friends  Provides help with vet care:   http://bestfriends.org/resources/financial-aid-pets

The Pet Fund:  Provides help with vet care:   http://thepetfund.com/

Red Rover:  Provides small grants for vet care:    https://redrover.org/      https://redrover.org/redrover-relief-grants

Modest needs:  Funds a wide variety of small emergency needs, including vet care:    https://www.modestneeds.org/

Ask the vet about a payment plan.  If he or she declines, CareCap is an organization that works with vets to try and set up a plan:    http://www.carecap.com/thepetfund/for-pet-owners

Go Fund Me:  a personal request for help:  https://www.gofundme.com/lp/welcome-4?pc=fb_pp_ga_120115_atconq_w22&gclid=CN6YqfrP2coCFcwWHwodg4YOsA

CareCredit:  A health care credit card that covers vet   http://www.carecredit.com/faqs/basics/

If there is a VCA Animal Hospital near you, they offer a free first health exam.  The exam is fairly basic, but at least it is a way to get your kitty seen.

I hope you can save this little one.  Sunshine sounds like a fighter - I so hope he makes it.

A cat who has no use of it's limbs could be a sign of a blood clot.  It's an emergency to have him seen.  If the blood flow remains blocked for just a few days, it can cause gangrene and lead to death or amputation.

Not trying to scare you and I hope this isn't it, but this happened to my cat.  If there is a clot, it can be EXTREMELY painful..  and cats don't show pain so you won't know.
