Hi from Japan

Hello all

I joined the cite almost a year ago when my cat adopted me, but this is the first time introducing my kitty and myself here.

Recently my cat Sakura (1.5 years old female) and I moved from the US to Japan. It took almost 28 hours (door-to-door)! I'm just so happy that we safely made it here. Sakura has adjusted to the new environment nicely with no problem so far. Now, maybe she needs a friend?

Yes, she is gorgeous.  

Wow that is some trip, welcome to the site. Sakura is a beautiful girl, and quite special, orange girls are quite rare

that is such a long trip for  a cat to be In a jet and all the noise and moving around..​

so happy you both are in Japan and settled and she is okay and you too!

Cats do like having a playmate..2 cats is a good number to have..

if you can handle having 2 litter boxes which I suggest you do have...

and a scratch post and some liquid catnip to spray once a week on their

cat post and their toy mice..

I am attempting to brush Lilys teeth three times a week with the dental cat toothpaste

malt flavor..starting young ...with them..

I also have a great brush tool called the Furminator..for short haired cats

had it 5 years and it works great..they both like me to brush them and it

gets the under coat just wonderful...great tool..

Other brands out there like Fur BE Gone do the same in

removing hair that no other brush will do..

My cats love sitting by the window or lying in a chair by a window...

I have places for them to lie and watch the outdoors daily...

at windows..

It was a looooong way especially the flight over the ocean felt like it would last forever. Sakura flew in-cabin with me. She was so quiet in the carrier and nobody noticed it until I told them. I am sure she was very stressed all through the move.

Now I am happy to see her sunbathing on her favorite window bed. I shipped most of her favorite stuff by sea (except for the big items like a cat tree), and they finally arrived a couple of weeks ago. I haven't told this to many people because they would think I'm crazy! But it's ok to talk about it in this forum, right?
