Obviously I know eating insulation isn't good but they didn't eat much. We had a pipe burst in out bathroom so the room is torn apart, the kitties manages to find the insulation in the floor because I caught them with white cotton like stuff hanging from their mouths...I don't think they managed to eat a whole lot but if I had to guess I'd say maybe the most about 1/4 cups worth if that. My question is, is that enough to kill them? I read that it isn't toxic, but I can't see insulation being okay to ingest, but maybe if the amount was as little as it was I caught it before it could become a problem? Has anyone ever dealt with this before? If so what happened? Note it wasn't the dense pink insulation, it was more white and fluffy like a giant cotton ball...idk if there's a difference but figured I'd mention it.

Are you sure they actually ate it or maybe just tore at it? I can see my one cat ripping into something like that just for the fun of it, but I'd be very surprised if he actually ate it.

Hrm, not sure about cats but one of my dogs ate a goodly amount of fiberglass insulation when he was a pup. The vet said he'd be fine, he'd just regret it when it came out the other end the next day. You can always call them and ask, no good vet will mind.
