Hey everyone. So, the consensus on why Cleopatra is probably having blood in her stools is because of a food intolerance. So, we put her on her new diet about a week go, and there is still blood in her stools. I recently saw Tapeworms in her stools again, so now it is time to worm her once more. Now, I know Tapeworms come from fleas, so I have to flea treat her again. But is there a safer alternative to worm her, like naturally? I do not want to flea treat her every month with any sort of chemicals, but it is hard to pinpoint if her new diet is working if she has tapeworms still in her system. I came upon links that said DE helps with worming, but is it really safe like they claim? Could it bother her system more, by scraping her intestinal walls or something? Cleo has had reactions towards flea treatments before, so I do not think it is worth putting her on it again. She is not infested with fleas, I comb her ever night ad search for fleas. Rarely will I comb a flea out of her fur, and even the vets commented on the fact that no matter where they brushed, they came up with none. So I think while she grooms, she does discover one or two and that is all it takes. Has anyone else given their felines DE? I know it is effective, but I do not want to bother her system anymore.
