My cat is 8-9 years old and has had 3 litters of kittens healthly, she became pregnant with the fourth but they had to be removed as the pregnancy could cause her,the kittens to die;i didn't want to risk either so she had an operation. Its been around 5 or 6 years now and over the last few weeks her stomach has became bigger by the week is it possible that she could be pregnant? When she had the operation I'm not sure weather she was neutered or not and would like to make preparations if kittens are on the way

I think you need to start by contacting your old vet. They would be able to tell you if she was fixed years ago. Has she been outside or around intact males?

I would recommend a vet visit if you no longer have contact with your old vet. They would be able to confirm a pregnancy or establish a treatment plan.

Generally, if they remove the kittens they also remove the uterus. But only the vet who did it will know for sure. Has she been allowed outside or around a tomcat since then? If so, she would have gotten pregnant sometime in those 6 years. At any rate, she needs to see the vet, to figure out why her stomach is getting so big, whether it's a health problem or pregnancy.
