So this is just a general question. I am not really concerned for my cat's health, but I just find this kind of odd. Zander is my little baby boy fur baby. Maybe 2-4 months ago, I noticed he has a flabby piece of skin that hangs under his belly. It's so floppy. It makes me think of a kangaroo pouch (hence the subject). [emoji]128518[/emoji] I can touch it, it's not hard or lumpy. And in my opinion I think he is at a rather healthy weight. I don't feed them dry food anymore and I do my best to feed my kitties a good diet. And they are extremely active. I was just wondering if this is a common thing? It's very weird looking and I have never noticed it before on other cats. Specifically males. I have another kitty named Ellie. She is the orange one. I can't see anything hanging from her belly and she also looks much larger than him but she is very furry. But when I touch her belly I notice it SLIGHTLY but not near as much loose skin as Zander has. Ellie will be a year old this April, and Zander will be a year old the end of May. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this? Both of them are fixed btw. I attached pictures. It's hard to get because he moves around so much!

Yes, it is completely normal.  Both of my cats have this.  On Chula, it actually flaps back and forth when she runs.  Here is a thread that you might find interesting:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/156249/floppy-belly-pouch-is-this-normal  I believe the technical name for this is primordial pouch.

Your pictures didn't come through - check out the image tutorial:

Thank you so much! It wouldn't upload unless I did it in a separate post. Lol I am relieved to hear about someone else experiencing this. I thought maybe he was losing weight at a rapid pace or something.. and that kind of freaked me out a little.

On a female, this is called a "spay sway" since it usually develops after they're spayed.  LOL  Two of my four kitties have it.  The others don't.  Weird!
