Hi neonpossum (and welcome to the forum !)

I did a little looking around, but I couldn't find a list of ingredients for this product (even on the manufacturer's site) - so, without knowing exactly what's in there, I certainly wouldn't be giving it to my cats.

I would not advise using it 'blindly'.

The ingredients are Oils and Fats, Milk and Milk Derivatives, Derivatives of Vegetable Origin (Malt Extract 3.7%, MOS 4650 mg/kg), Yeasts. I don't see anything that would harm a cat but I still would not use a ferret product on a cat just to be on the safe side.

The company  makes a hairball treat for cats: http://www.beaphar.com/products/cat/stomach-intestines-kidneys/hairball-treats/2_67_P4084 Or any hairball product specifically for cats will work as well.

Cats and ferrets are very similar when it comes to dietary needs, so it's safe. But vitamin paste isn't the same as hairball paste. It won't help with hairballs.

The paste I have says on the front that it is 'anti hairball' (which I didn't even know ferrets got!).

I have ordered some cat paste anyways, just to be safe!
