My cat has had some very strange issues since we brought a new cat home.
Kovu is a year and about 3 months now. Has been a very happy and healthy cat until we brought the other cat in. After having her for a few days we learned she before had an upper respiratory virus that she had before gotten over. She ended up throwing up consistently and had goopy eyes. She went to the vet and received fluids under the skin. She got better but she no longer lives with us.
But Kovu ended up coming down with a fever, the next morning began septic arthritis, and had blood in his urine at the vets office. We did a joint tap and it came back with high white blood cell count but other than that no bacterial infection.
And after that cleared up he had lessions come in on his face, in his ears and on his nose... The doctor did scrapings and found no bacteria or micro organisms.
After those cleared up he has had to be on anti nausea medication to not throw up since he does continuously without the medication as well as diharea meds.
They found inflamed lymphnodes when doing an ultrasound and did a biopsy on those. No infection and no bacteria.
Now he has developed an ulcer on his lower lip, looking like a rodent ulcer.
We've been to the vet hospital near by with specialists and no one seems to know what is causing this. He's been tested for all infectious diseases on a disease panel and no bacterial infection has been found.
If anyone has had any issues like this please help. We've put thousands of dollars into figuring out his diagnosis and nothing!

HELP!

Thank you for your response misterwhiskers.
I'll look into that one.

The one we brought home we did adopt from a rescue house. Otherwise Kovu I bought from a family that bred kittens.

Has your cat been tested for FeLV? Giant cell dermatosis will cause lesions on the face like you mention, as well as enlarged lymph nodes, fever, and an upset digestive tract.
