First, I wanted to say "thank you" to everyone that gave me tips for Lilly-Belle! She's actually gained a couple of pounds, so she's about 1.5 pounds less than Chewie right now. We also took her to be fixed today. The only thing that stinks about the whole thing, is that Chewie was sad and looking for her when she was at the mobile clinic, and now, when she's back, we have to keep them separated, which is driving Chewie crazy. He just doesn't really understand what's wrong with her, so he keeps going to her, but she's not having any of it. I don't like how shaky she is, but I know that's because of the surgery. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated!

Good news that Lilly-Belle is home and doing well.  Poor Chewie.  He wants his buddy!   I hope Lilly-Belle recovers quickly.  Since there were no complications she should be old self soon.  How long do you have to keep Chewy and Lilly-Belle separated?

They didn't say to keep them separated in the first place, but we did that because Chewie loves playing with Lilly-Belle and he doesn't always know when not to do it. We initially didn't have them separated, but he then tried to play with her, and she wasn'gbut t really doing anything, so we were worried he'd get too rough with her, so we separated. I built a little cardboard play area for Chewie back in December. Chewie doesn't really use it, but Lilly-Belle loves it. So I ended up helping her get in there. Chewie kept trying to go in, but she would growl, so we knew that wouldn't work, so I put a box in front of one door on it, and the pet gate in front of another door. He then moved the box and tried to crawl into the little window I have carved. So we had to tape up both the second door and the window, and she's there with the pet gate. She kept trying to lick her incision, so we actually got her a baby onesie and put that on her. She wasn't thrilled, but seems okay now. I just now put some of her favorite pate in there, with a little bowl of water, because we were told to try to feed her around now. She doesn't seem too interested in her food, but I'm not terribly worried about that. The only thing that's really sad right now, is there fact that Chewie is walking around searching for her.
