Hello, I had 3 spayed cats that went missing. This is unusual because they usually never went far from home.

The first one was Sarah. She's a three year old gray and white cat with a distinct nose coloring. She never fled far from home and if she went out she would come back within a few hours. We did bring home a new kitten at the time.

The second one was Misty. She's a two year old small calico and had issues. She ran away and one time she forgot who my family was. She went missing for a period of three days during that time due to that we got two new Siamese kittens at the time.

The third one was Deedles. She's a six year old tuxedo cat. We usually never saw her during the day but almost always saw her at night. She was a good cat besides the fact that she could not live inside because she marked her territory inside and fought with other cats.

All of this happened within a month and a half. (July and mid-August)

If anyone had a situation like this or information on what's going on, please do comment.

Thanks.

Moved from the cat pages. @Dennis47  I noticed you replied there, so I'm tagging you here.

Living outside or going outside is a dangerous world for cats.  Are there predators in your area such as coyotes that would prey upon the cats?  Is it possible they are going elsewhere to be fed?

Have you contacted any of your neighbors to see if they have seen the cats?  What about putting up some fliers or contacting vets in the area?  Also if you are allowing your cats access to the outdoors it is a good idea to have them micro chipped.

I am sorry that you have lost so many cats.  I would talk with the neighbors and see if anyone has seen the cats.

We live on the outer edge of a subdivison. Down our road we have a little woods area. We don't have any coyotes, sometimes we spot a possum or a raccoon. Some neighbors have dogs, do you think they could have got in the wrong place at the wrong time?

I have told and asked many neighbors, and called all the vets around in our area as well
