While I love them all, my favorite would have to be the tiger

I have this picture as the background on my laptop. It's DD and me in our true forms

I've always been in love with the black panther, and have been fascinated with them since I was a kid. I guess because they are so rare you rarely hear of them.  I love that beautiful shining black fur on a cat of that size, and it makes their eyes stand out so beautifully!

I would say that my favorite is the tiger with a leopard being a close second.  I really like all of them though.

I've always loved the sleek look of the Panther, it's because I have always loved the  black domestic cats.

I'm a big fan of black panthers myself for two reasons.  1. my old Wesley walked just like one.  2.  when I was a kid I actually came close to one in the wild and it just sneered and padded away.  It was only in retrospect that I realized how beautiful it was.  At the time, I was frozen with terror!

I love the African serval if I ever come into a lot of money I would like to get a Savannah cat ( which is a cross between a serval & a domestic cat). :D

Much as I am in awe of all wild cat species I can't help but feel breathless when I see a Siberian tiger: much larger than those regularly seen.  I've only ever seen any kind of tiger on tv documentaries or in wildlife parks and zoos and they take my breath away every time.   Don't think I fancy meeting one in the wild even though it would be an amazing experience!  Way too scary.   All that said, I'm with @mickNsnicks2mom  on those Scottish wildcats.   @Columbine  remembers well:    I have posted a couple of photos in threads, and I also have this album here on TCS:

 http://www.thecatsite.com/g/a/201104/my-trip-to-see-scottish-wildcats/

I went to see them while on holiday in Scotland a couple of years ago.  It was painful to see them in captivity but as a species they are extremely rare and one of the biggest threats is crossing genes with domestic cats.   I had intended to see all the animals in the park which is near to Aviemore, but after a brief tour round the edges I couldn't help my self from standing in silence watching the Scottish wildcat for the remains of the day (several hours).   That meant missing out on tigers apart from anything else!  When people were walking around and talking close to their enclosures the wildcat that were not in hiding paced round and round their space on high alert but as soon as I was on my own and standing there still and quiet they calmed noticeably and allowed me to see them still and calm.  Looking directly at me and coming close to the fencing where I was observing them without seeming distressed.   (The large male did spray through the fencing at the ground where a particularly noisy family had stood almost as soon as they moved on and I found myself wishing he hadn't waited  View media item 329886

Jaguars are my favorite wild cat, especially black ones. I love black cats in general, and the black jaguar's coat has subtle black spots. They are the ultimate predator, with very, very strong jaws. I'd like to have a tattoo of one some day.

I also love lynx and caracals--and their cute ear tassels. I call my Kara "Karacal" as she reminds me of a caracal.

I would have to go for a leopard. I love their lean, lithe look and the spots. Black "panthers" are really black leopards, and if you look at the pictures above, you can see faint spots.
