Awww she is a beauty!  It will take time but she warm up to you.  My mom adopted a feral girl for her barn to keep the mice under control about 6 months ago.  She used to hiss and hide, but now Mom says she follows her everywhere and loves to be petted.  She said it took lots of patience and letting the cat approach her on her own terms.  A little bit of fresh raw milk from the cow every morning didn't hurt either, LOL!  Mom is allergic to cats, otherwise I'm sure she would become an indoor kitty.

She really is a pretty kitty. Do give her time to get over her fears and warm up to you. She may never be a lap cat, but she won't be so afraid of you and her surroundings.

I've had her since February 2016, captured her just before the bitter freeze, and she was in an 8 by 10 foot room with no windows for about 2 months,

I moved her to the front porch where she can see daylight and see the outside. It was a battle getting her to the front porch.

I've had her for almost 5 months,  it's tough but I just want to reassure everyone that she is safe and I promise she will not go to any kill shelter..

I still would like to find her a home but I don't think that is going to happen.  I figure she is going to be a porch cat.....

That set up looks wonderful!  She is a very lucky cat to have met someone like you - committed to helping hr and determined that she be happy.

I say keep up the good work!  I bet she enjoys porch life!

This is Max, the feral cat I captured back in February that almost froze to death after it rained and he was soaked and then the temperatures were dropping down to the single digit so I had decided to buy a trap and capture him.  He was fighting at first and super scared and would hide and never come out till we left the room.  Now it's been 10 months and he has gained weight, had his own room and we bought him a cat tower for Christmas and he loves it.  He knows my voice now and when I come into the room he meows at me and comes to me so I can pet him. He was skin and bones when I got him and now he is playing and chasing after a string and he loves to be petted. My dogs bark at Max, and my other cat growls and tried to attack Max from the other side of the door, we have a pexi glass on the bottom panel of the door so they can see each other but every time Max and Zeus see each other Zeus goes crazy so I have to keep them separated.  The room he is in is a good size for Max, he has 2 windows and he feels safe in there.  I posted 2 pictures and will upload the other 3

Very nice update!

So you have found she is a he huh?

By the vet?

Are one of his eyes droopy or partially closed?

He's adorable, looks very huggable :)

Wonderful that you are able to pet him!

I am finally able to pet him

yes I found out she is a he when he was walking around in his cage.  He now has the run of the room and comes and goes in and out of his cage as he pleases, he comes up to me when I enter the room and wants me to pet him, and when I bring a friend up to the room he is sniffs their hand before allowing them to pet him but quickly walks away from them. He does have one eye that looks like it's droopy but not all the time, my other cat had the same thing and he was only 4 weeks old when my fiancé brought him home because his mommy abandoned him.  I still have to take him to the vet which they said to get friendlier with him before taking him in to get fixed and a check up....he is lovable and I want to keep him, just have to keep the other animals away from him.

oh he is getting fixed before spring,  I don't need him howling and waking everyone up.I've gotten to be able to pick him up but have to put him down quick cause he is just so so nervous and gets jumpy very easy. He does have a droopy eye and sometimes when he is startled and wants to move quickly he seems to loose ground and doesn't move him legs too well.  I hope there is nothing wrong with him....he is such a cute guy.........
