I moved the pan close to where they are now. They are no longer in the bedroom closet they are in the living room now. I think they are happier. They play so much now. The only one that used it already had an accident next to it...he was trying to climb in the other cat boxs for the other cats. Hopefully they will all be trained in a couple weeks. Having 8 cats in the house is a bit overwhelming! Especially for my 15 year old cat! She doesn't know what to think or what to do...poor thing!

Aww! They will catch on quickly. Just keep putting them in. I imagine it's very bewildering for your older, resident cat! Hang in there! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I had to move them to the bathroom that doesn't get used much! Way to many accidents and constantly cleaning. They aren't using the litter box on there own yet. I need to get another one. Also I can shut the door when kittens are eating cause mom eats all there food and I'm constantly buying cat food! Moms poops are not "solid" now too and every half hour she's going to the bathroom!

The bathroom is a great idea. Do you let mom in to visit though?

How long has mom had diarrhea? What are you feeding her?

Mom is still with them all the time. I only shut the door when I'm bringing them food. Some days it's solid and then it will be the soft "patty" type. She eats 9 lives soft food, purina kitten food and she'll eat the other cats food too which an indoor kind. Plus the KMR I mix in with the kittens food.

Her poops sound okay for what you are feeding her. It's not really diarrhea.

I don't know what to do with moms pooping issue. I had to clean the cat box 5 times today and she keeps going...it looks like "cow patties" she won't stop eating! Is something wrong with her? She ate 3 bowls of friskies soft food plus another half can that was the kittens and the hard food. And is still looking for food when there's hard food available all the time!

Nursing uses tons of calories. Especially as the babies get older. Once they wean she won't need as much. Also, is she still cleaning up after the kittens? If so, that can give her loose stools. It also might be time for de-worming all of them.

She cleans them up a little bit but not often. I think they are in the process of weaning. They don't nurse much. Maybe 2 or 3 times a day and I think it's more of a comfort thing. They are all eating soft food and hard food softened and not softened. I think I can just pick up some dewormer at the vets with out bringing them in.

So mom is still having really soft stools. I cement the cat box about 3 times a day or more. It seems like after every time she eats she's going. Is there anything I can give her to help? I don't have the extra money to take her to the vets right now. All the kittens are eating soft and hard food and drinking water. Mom is also meowing a lot as to say she's hungry. But she eats so much! It's like I just fed u what else do u want?!

Have you tried giving her a probiotic? She's probably washed all the good digestive bacteria out of her system with the diarrhea. A probiotic will restore them, and I believe you can get it at a pet store - Fortiflora. As long as she is nursing she will need a lot of food.

Adding some plain canned pumpkin to her food could help as well.  It might also be time to consider food allergies.

She's not nursing anymore. She eats 9 lives canned food and meow mix kitten nibble. I was feeding her purina kitten food (she ate this during her pregnancy) but I switched to the meow mix for the kittens. I think she ate my other cats hard food last night too and threw it up. But the diarrhea started before I changed the kitten food. She also seems skinny which I don't get cause she eats so much[emoji]128577[/emoji]. As far as the pumpkin goes...I'll ssi it the canned pumpkin filling?

It is pure canned pumpkin do not feed pumpkin pie filling. The kittens are too cute.

If she does not get better, she may have an intestinal infection and need an antibiotic.

I guess I don't know what canned pumpkin is. Where do I get it? What name brand is it? I noticed not day one of her eyes is puffy and looks glazed over and it's been closed. She hasn't been going as often today. I will get her checked if she doesn't get better. I don't know where she would get sick from. She stays indoors.

its in the baking aisle where the canned pie fillers are=you want plain pumpkin-this should be the only ingredient-usually canned cherries and squash are also next to the pumpkin.

I mix it with a bit of water and either feed on my finger or mix a tiny bit into wet food until they get used to it. some cats hate it. some love it. i have one who hates it-i take a small finger full and swipe it on the roof of her mouth and let her eat then do it again 3 more times..it usually stops the diareahh in 12 to 24 hours or gets them to poo if they are constipated.
