My cat's name is Opal. I adopted her less than a week ago after her previous owner moved away and "forgot" her. From the ex-owners roommate I know: Opal is 5 years old, and her shots are current but she needs more in April (which vaccinations I'm not sure). Since the owner doesn't seem like the greatest character, I'm not sure if Opal really is up to date.

Anyway, the second or third day I had her, I noticed one of her eyes looked different than the other. She is a fluffy white cat with green eyes, but her left iris has a ring of orangish brownish that look kind of like veins. After some googling I found the condition uveitis and it seems like what she has. I'm extremely worried because I saw that it can be a symptom for FIV and FELV.
I'm taking her to the vet ASAP but does anyone know anything about this?

Other miscellaneous info:
After her owner abandoned her, she was found outside, but I don't know how long she was living outside for.
She is underweight, not severely but definitely bony.
She eats and drinks and uses the litter box normally.
She sometimes twitches her tail against furniture (but she isn't spraying).
She is very affectionate and loves being near me.
She rolls and flops around on the carpet like a crazy person.

If there's any other helpful info let me know, but it's hard to judge her behavior because I've only had her for less than a week

Especially with the situation and condition she was found in, a trip to the vet is the best thing you can do.  Not only can you get her eye checked, you can have her tested for FIV/FeLV and also discuss with the vet the best way to get her weight up.  You also need to make sure she's spayed and not in heat.
