I've read a few posts about Sheba made in the past but I would love to hear what are some people's thoughts on Sheba now.

I do feed Ming Sheba once in a while when I go down to the US (they don't sell it here in Canada) and I'm debating if I should buy it in bulk online. I'd like to add it to the rotation and possibly replace FF Chicken and Chicken Liver just because liver is the first ingredient in that food.

Is it on the same grade level as FF Classics or is it better?

And the Natural Cat Blog just added Impulse by Halo to the list and I'd like to hear what people's experiences are with that food.

Thank you!

Sheba is FOR SURE my favorite budget-friendly wet food! No weird fillers, all meat, and no carrageenan. I personally Sheba think it is slightly better than FF classics because is is much lower in phosphorus. Additionally, a lot of the FF flavors that state that they are "chicken" or "beef" actually have ocean whitefish as the third or fourth ingredient. Don't get me wrong, I think FF classics are good to feed and there are definitely flavors that don't have fish at all (e.g. Turkey and Giblets), but I think Sheba is a little better because there isn't any fish in the flavors that don't say tuna, salmon, or any other type of fish on the label.

If you read the ingredients of the turkey, chicken, and beef flavors, you will find that they have much less random ingredient. For example, the first two ingredients of the Sheba chicken flavor is "chicken, chicken broth"

My cats like the impulse quail & greens and rabbit and greens, it is dense so I break it up and add water. I just ordered a case of each on sale now at chewy.com. Petco sells it so I bought the original samples there. I feed my ferals Sheba chicken and sometimes my cats, they seem to prefer fancy feast liver & chicken however. I have liver junkies![emoji]128576[/emoji][emoji]128062[/emoji] They are both former ferals, so liver must remind them of chipmunks! Ugh

Totally agree with Ghibli... Sheba is my go-to grocery store/budget food. Low carb, no corn, wheat, soy, carrageenan, or fish in non fish flavors. To me the only thing distinguishing it from more expensive foods is that it does have by-products, but that doesn't really bother me. I stick to the non fish pates. My guys like it, they eat it well on a consistent basis. I buy it on amazon a lot.

I agree about Sheba. I think it's better than FF classics. The kids like Sheba but only now and then. They like the turkey the best.

Mine will not eat any Halo. I found the Impulse by Halo very dry- as in crumbly dry. The kids rejected it immediately as they do with Spot's anything. If you have a Petco near you, I'd pick up a can of each for them to try before you invest in a case.
