My cat is pregnant and im not positive when she conceived but if im correct when she conceived she would be 8 weeks today her nipples are very pink and have dried milk on them and her stomach is very big and hanging down other then that she has no other signs of labor so how long do you think until she gives birth i read that there nipples having milk on them means she will give birth soon but its been like that for days now

At this point, you want to have a few nest options set up for her.  The articles above are super helpful.

You also want to make 100% sure that she can't get outside or be around intact males until the kittens are 8 weeks old and she can be spayed. Cats can get pregnant again within a week of delivery and they can have silent heats.

Hi! I have a calico and grey and white cat that mated. I wanted to know what is a possible color for her kittens to be. Im very curious , since she has such beautiful colors will her kittens have beautiful colors ? All opinions are appreciated. Thankyou !

Calicos can have the widest range of colors in their kittens! One thing to know if that male kittens get their color from their mother, and females get one color gene from each parent. A calico can pass on either the dark gene or the red gene. So her boys will be either dark or red. Probably solid gray or black, if neither parent is tabby, although I think they can pass on the tabby gene even if they aren't tabby. But all red cats are tabbies. Her girls will be either dark (solid or tabby) or calico, depending which gene they got from their mother. No red tabby girls. If both parents have white the kittens will too, although you never know how much white will show up.

Right so, the mom is a calico which is black, red & white

The dad is a blue & white

Do either of these have tabby markings ? If so, you will get some tabby patterned kittens as the tabby pattern is dominant over solid pattern.

Both parents have white meaning all kittens will have some white too.

Dad is a blue, which is the dilute of black. You will only get dilute colored kittens if both parents have or carry the dilute gene. Dad is a dilute so unless mom is a carrier of the gene you will not get dilute colors.


Male kittens only take their color genes from their mother. So, the possible male kitten colors are -
Black & white
Red & white
Blue & white ( only if mom is a dilute carrier )
Cream & white ( only if mom is a dilute carrier )

Female kittens take a color gene from each parent. So, the female possible kitten colors are -
Black & white
Blue & white ( if mom is a dilute carrier )
Calico - red, black & white
Dilute calico - blue, cream & white ( only if mom is a dilute carrier )

The dad does have tabby markings so is it possible to have a full little of tabbys?

my cat is only 57 days in pregnancy but she has all the symtoms of a in labor cat . like .... she has milk on her nibbles , her stomach is very  large, she sleeps all day and cries very anxiously, i often see her babies move and feel them move sometimes . I appreciate all opinions and answers . 

So the average cat pregnancy is 65 days.  We have seen quite a few go over 65 and even over 70 days so there must be some who deliver sooner.  Milk can come in up to a week before the cat delivers.
