First time here.

Hi all. I have three cats, all about 3-4 years old. One of my 3yo is Pepper, spayed female. Very thin, always has been--about 3-4 lbs. In the last mont or so, she has had a couple of weird "fits". Ill be calling the vet tomorrow as this is the second one in the last couple weeks; third in about two months.

She'll be sitting quietly--twice this has started while she is sitting on my lap, once on the back of a chair just today. All of a sudden she will simultaneously start to meow loudly and pee--on me, on the chair. Meows loudly several times then takes of running, spastically--not normally. Like she's having trouble controlling herself. She's drooling like mad, will stop and just stay stock still and stare blankly, mouth open and drooling. After a minute, she starts walking normally. After these "fits" she is ravenously hungry and then sleeps for hours.

She has regular check ups and is fully vaccinated, as are our other two cats and both dogs. She is otherwise normal. She has been tested for thyroid hormones previously (because she is so thin) but the levels were normal).

Sound familiar to anyone? I'll be calling the vet tomorrow but was just wondering is anyone has seen this kind of issue before.

Appreciate any input.

These sound like seizures.  I would take her to the vet asap for sure.  Have you ever talked to the vet about this issue?

I mentioned it at the last check up but at that time it had only happened once.

I will be bringing her in specifically for this issue this week

Seizures? I was wondering if that might be it, but she never loses consciousness.

I'll post a follow up once we see the vet. Anyone have experience with seizures like this?

Sounds like possible hyperesthesia. The urination, running and drooling. I know one characteristic is rhe rolling skin on the back, but our friends cat was diagnosed and sounds like what your cat is doing.
