Hi everyone,

My kitten is 4 months old and is 3.2 kg. He is very lean and tall and significantly larger than my other cats at his age. I got him from a shelter and his father is ragdoll and mother is siamese X. Although I think he looks predominantly Siamese.

Does this mean he is going to be huge?! is there anything I should be worried about?

What a beautiful cat, he looks very Siamese to me, too! I have no answers to your questions but, based on the standing photo, he really does look nice and lean, well-proportioned.

I guess all I'd be worried about is keeping him fed! Have fun with him!

He looks fine to me. I had to convert the kg to pounds (Americans are so backward), so that comes out to about 6 pounds. Six pounds at four months is fine. The vet weighed my 5-month-old and he weighed a little over 7 pounds. Mingo is a rather small kitty, so I don't think yours will be big at all, but absolutely normal.

He's one beautiful cat!

Thanks! He just seems so big compared to my other two when they were his age. Yep he's little over 7 pounds at the moment

Wow I can't believe your cat isn't huge! Just shows they all grow at different paces I guess!

Your cat looks lean and muscular, and he's a handsome little guy with those blue eyes. I don't think he looks overweight at all.

I agree with the others, he looks good! And adorable!!

My Jett was 12 lbs at 6 months of age. (Based on vet records.) [emoji]128563[/emoji] He's now 18.5 lbs of *mostly* muscle.

He is a gorgeous cat, maybe he will be bigger due to the ragdoll. He looks great, and his eyes are stunning! Wow!

He is absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't worry about his weight. Muscle is heavier than fat and he looks to have great muscle tone. His weight is about right for his age. Cats, like people, have very diverse body structures so his is just different. As long as he's healthy, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Omg, what an absolutely gorgeous cat! I just could stare into those eyes all day long!

I agree about not worrying about the weight, btw. Cats can grow at different rates.

He's adorable! I wouldn't worry about his weight he looks like he is healthy. Every cat is different and all will grow at different rates. I've had cats that were very big and basically full grown at 6 months old and others that seemed underweight or small for their age until they were over 1 1/2.

I have 5 cats at the moment and 2 of them are about 5-6 months right now so they are still kittens. They both came from the same litter, and one is just like yours having that lean kitten look but growing very long etc.... But his sister weighs about 4-5 pounds where he weighs right now about 8.6 pounds. So there can be very large growth differences even in the same litter. So what I'm trying to get at is this is completely normal. It's just like a kid who was the tallest kid all through elementary school and then stopped growing.

He's beautiful!  Ragdolls are muscular and larger, so that part of his bloodline might be showing.  They also have blue eyes and Siamese-like coloring.

He's gorgeous!  As long as his weight is proportionate to his build, he's fine.  I have had cats that ranged from very tiny to quite large.  All but one of them were height/weight proportionate, and he was the only one the vet was concerned about and also the only one who developed serious issues at a younger age.
