Hi new member

Just wanted to say hi. I have been on this site for the last few weeks and have found it very useful. My name is Poppy and I have just adopted a 5 year old DLH named Abra Rose. Abra has been with me for 3 weeks and is slowly settling into her new home. She likes to hide and spends a lot of time under the bed but when she is out and about in the house she is very affectionate and loves to be pet.

Welcome to you and Abra Rose!     Lovely name for a kitty, btw!    Is that a picture of the beautiful Abra Rose in your avatar?  I'm glad she's starting to feel at home - post more photos of her when you get a chance.      This is a great site - the members are very friendly and there is a lot of information available.   It's a tremendous place to learn more about cats and just talk about them to people who understand!

Very beautiful cat. LOOOVE that tail. Here is my Cally.

Thanks Marg D and Swamplady (Cally is beautiful they are nearly twins ).  Abra's tail is very big and bushy, her whole coat is, I thought she was overweight but the vet said she is in the correct weight range and it is all fur which is all over my house WOW it is everywhere, I haven't had a cat for over ten years so I forgot about the hair .  It is nice to chat to other people that love cats as much as I do.
