I figured I'd better come back around and share my second review. First I'll say this, if you use the right litter, the box works VERY well.

I started the luupp box with Arm & Hammer Ultra and had a lot of issues with clumps attached to the side of the box and that were very difficult to get off. It was a really nasty experience and made cleaning the box a way bigger pain than scooping out a traditional litterbox. Luuup recommended I try another litter, World's Best Cat Litter. I was leery to switch because I wasn't sure my cat would go for it, but as it turns out World's Best is a much higher quality litter than Arm & Hammer Ultra. It generally looks better and smells better. It didn't stick to my cats feet nearly as much and right away noticed less of it tracked around the house. All of that is just a bonus though, because...THE LUUUP BOX ACTUALLY WORKS WITH THIS LITTER.

The clumping is much quicker and the urine absorbed and not able to float around on top and find the edge of the box. I've shaken it out four times now, once after purposefully ignoring it for two days, and had almost no clumps sticking to the side of the box. The two clumps that did stick were very easy to nudge off using the bag I was dumping the clumps into. Seriously, just a slight nudge the offending clumps slipped right off.

The litter I purchased was specifically https://www.chewy.com/worlds-best-cat-litter-scoopable/dp/37593

I sort of accidentally got the multiple cat formula, it's written down near the bottom practically under the bag when it's on the shelf. I didn't realize it until I got home and finished emptying it into the box. My cat doesn't seem to care so we'll probably stick with it I guess.

Don't buy it. Too small. Urine clumps stick to the sides. Makes you have to wipe it out each time. A good concept but not in execution. Also - requires special litter? They never told me that. No lid. The cons outweigh the pros. I asked for a refund. They said getting the box was the crowdfunding reward. Ok. Here was my response: "By the way - I'm reading lots of reviews of the same problem. The urine clumps stick to the side. It's too much work for the customer. If having people throw away your hard work is what you want then continue to have dissatisfied customers.

Like I said - I was excited for it. Unfortunately - execution does not meet the expectation.

Also - you never noted that a specific litter would need to be purchased. False advertising I would say.

Thanks again."

A big "nay." It is a pain in the patootie, Keeps sticking in the slats, not good if multiple cats use, easier to just scoop litter. It's going in the trash. What a waste.

Glad to see people actually getting the box shipped to them.   I saw this box months and months ago, and their initial goal was reached and exceeded and the delivery date was constantly pushed back further and further.   I  had thought about  ordering one, but when I saw that they had collected millions and the box wasn't being shipped and the date kept changing, I held onto my money in case that it was a scam.

I'll stick to my regular large boxes. I have 2 cats and 2 boxes....well, 4 boxes, but only 2 are in use at a time. When it comes time to clean the boxes, I just fill the clean boxes with litter, and then wash the dirty ones and put them away for the next litter change.

With these sifting boxes, when it comes time to wash the box and change the litter, you are washing 6 boxes.  And then there is the fact that my cats like to dig down to the bottom of the box...shoveling litter so they have a bare spot to go in.  With a box with holes, those holes become filled with urine and the clumping cat litter would turn to clay, plugging the holes and making it even more difficult to wash the boxes.

After using the Luup forabout a month now, I think it's the worst litter box ever... You have to scrape the clumps out.. It's like they stick like glue to it! I've complained and asked for my money back, but they keep telling me I'm using the wrong litter! I actually use Tidy Cats regular which is what they say to use... But even if I were using something else.. If they think a certain brand should be used then that should be stipulated before you buy it! Some cats don't like change! So I am still fighting for my money back.. They obviously don't stand behind their product and don't care about unhappy customers!
Not to mention not all litter brands are available everywhere.

Why throw it out?  Clean it well with bleach and sell it on Craig's List or Kijiji. There are likely people who want to try it, but can't afford the expense of a new one. Sell it at a discount and get some of your money back.

I have one... I haven't even tried sifting it yet, but the holes in the bottom get so clogged with wet litter that I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it anyway. Pretty disappointing. If they recommend using Tidy Cats, it still doesn't work, because that's what I use anyway.

I'm thinking about training Baby to use the toilet for a litter box. She's not afraid of it when its flushed, and I think she could do it.
You might want to read these articles before doing that.   Lots of cons with it.

http://www.pet-happy.com/cat-toilet-training/

http://www.canadianliving.com/life-...cat-training-should-you-toilet-train-your-cat

http://allpetnews.com/toilet-training-your-cat-the-pros-and-cons
Some cats teach themselves to use the toilet, which is fine -- many cats are fascinated by flushing toilets, and we have to admit that it's easier to flush than to deal with dirty litter boxes (from both the human and the feline viewpoint).  But I bought the toilet training kit for Sweet Thing many, many years ago, and it was nothing but frustrating for both her and me.

If Baby wants to use the toilet, she'll figure it out on her own.  If she doesn't, I recommend that you just let her enjoy watching it flush.

Well, I'm pretty foolish. That litter box is the most fantastic idea ever--in theory. In practice, forgeddaaboutit! The instructions tell you to just use a bit pf paper towel if some debris sticks to the pan, and to make sure that nothing is left in the slots at the bottom. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? I do use a kitchen trash bag to empty it, make sure I have the paper towel handy and wear gloves, because I have touched more cat pee stuck in the clumps (my cats tend to go near the edges) in the past few weeks than I have ever done with all cat pans over 40 years of cat ownership. AND OMG, don't get the things mixed up! This thing takes a lot of practice to keep it straight. I don't hate it yet, but I don't love it and if I knew then what I know now, would never have purchased this over-priced pan. I ordered it in May--got it in Late August--and disliked it immediately. I'll keep it a bit longer, glutton for punishment maybe, but I want to give it a chance because it is such a good idea. I just wish it worked better.

I bought one and threw it in the trash after 2 weeks. It's nothing like the video. The poop/pee gets stuck in the sifters, and its 10 times more work to clean than a regular litter. Do not purchase this.

Thank you for this.  I'm going to go give this a try.  It might mean having to make a special trip to Target to get it, but it may be worth it if it works the way you indicated.

Huge waste of money for all the reasons previously posted. Litter sticks in the slots and to sides needing cleaning. Small and shallow for multiple cats especially male cats. I've now messed up twice on swapping the tray and had all the litter leak. Gets dirty so that when you go to change you will eventually have to touch dirty litter from where it sits. Colossal waste of time and miney

I wanted to believe in these boxes so badly. I don't even want to tell you how may I bought on Kickstarter because they were a huge waste of money. Littler sifts through the "interlocked" boxes and on to the floor without even being picked up and shaken.

I don't have issues with the poop but the urine clumps stick to the bottom. Even when you scoop the clumps out, you can't get the litter out of the holes without a tremendous effort. That box is not going to be clean until you scrub it down.

Everything about these boxes has been a disaster. Shipments were late, the boxes leak, they're impossible to clean. I'm so mad at myself for believing it would be so easy.

Do not waste your money.

I used World's Best many years ago.  Stopped because it's pretty pricy.  Hey, if it works with this over-priced piece of,  oops, lovely cat pan, then I'm in.  I payed too much for the Luuup thing to throw it out now.

I participated in the crowdfunding and got my litter box - I was very excited about it.  I have tried two different kinds of clumping litter so far, and am not at all happy.  It doesn't clump like it shows in the video - it sticks to the sides and sticks in the slots.  I have had to sift it, then take my scooper and try to remove it from the box and of course that makes a mess.  I also have a hard time getting the boxes in line to where the litter doesn't slip through the slots onto the floor when I change the boxes.  I just went to their website to see what they say, and they started out by saying not all litter is created equal.  They recommend the heavy weight Tidy Cat or The Worlds Best Cat LItter.  So I guess I will try Tidy Cat.  But this makes me think they have had complaints - they also say you need to put minimum 15 lbs of litter in the box.  Then as far as wet litter sticking in the slots - they say to set the empty try gently in the litter and wiggle it back and forth, and the litter below will force the wet litter out of the slots.  So I will try that.  Also, the box is small - much smaller than what I was using.   So far I would say - don't buy it.  I will give it another chance but I regret sending the $50+ to get it.

I had considered it, because the idea was great. But, it was way to small, and knowing my cats' fondness for peeing on the side, it definitely wouldn't be as easy to clean as they make it seem. Sorry you're having such a bad experience. I hope you gave them your feedback?

I haven't yet - I am going to give it every chance - try the litter they recommend and try the suggestions on their website before I give negative feedback.  I want to be totally fair to them.  Thanks!!
