i clip Paul and Chula's nails every two weeks or so.

Check out this thread for a lot of answers to your question at once:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/64082/how-often-to-trim-the-nails-of-the-cats

Did you have Bella's claws trimmed at the vet because she gives you such a hard time?  If so, below is an article that you might find helpful:

I found the best way (even though that's not the question just sharing ;) sit on the floor legs stretched in front of me flip a kitty

on their back on my thighs lift up my knees there lies the victim.... sometimes I put on a bobbly long necklace they will play concentrate on that while I snip away, gives them something to do they purr entire time, two paws are done in 60 seconds easy.  *the more you build up your confidence at doing nails the less scared kitty is of you doing the job.  When starting even if you only get 3 nails done the first time repeat again another day until both paws are complete. The less stressful the process, easier to perform.

Nails once every two, three weeks-  at the quick. Depends on scratching habits...  Tips only, need to do more frequent.

Just had my cats nails trimmed last Thursday at the local Petsmart ($12 ea). I've been having them trimmed every 4-5 weeks. Good luck.

I trim mine every week or more. He's pretty good with getting his paws handled, but I always wait until he's super sleepy and lying on his back with his paws in front of him for easy access :3 Strike em when they're down.

I always do it at night after the dogs go to bed with my mom, so they are usually wide awake. I was using some animal nail trimmers I bought, and I was really nervous using them (since I wasn't used to them yet) and trying to make sure I didn't hit the quick AND deal with them moving... yeah, not easy. Add to that I can't see up close with my glasses on, so had to take them off which made me a bit uncomfortable!

But anyway, successful clipping, and I really like the trimmer! So much neater than using human nail clippers.
