Good Morning!
 And Happy Friday!

Easy question this morning: Do you have a set time for dinner? What time do you usually eat your dinner?

We don't like to eat much after 6:00 if we can help it. We usually eat right around 5 or 5:30, depending on what we're having for dinner, how long it takes to make, etc. Part of that is because I tend to have meetings that start right around 7:00 or so. Rick usually bowls early (he has to leave the house by 6:00 on bowling nights). Even on weekends, as a rule, I've have dinner started so that we can eat right around 5:00 or so. If we go out to dinner, it might be as early as 3:00 or 4:00 to try to avoid the crowds.

What about you?

I always try to have dinner ready by 5:30 Sunday thru Wednesday my bf works 10-12 hour shifts and that is when he gets off work. It only takes him 5 minutes to get home and I like to have dinner ready when he gets here. On the other days I like to have it between 5-6.  We go to be fairly early because of his job and I don't like to eat later than that.

I usually start to make dinner when I get home from work.. because once I know once I sit down, I don't make the effort and just pick on whatever I have in the fridge. That's usually around 5/5:30

Though for the past months, I have not made a "real" dinner.. just TV frozen dinners, or something quick like cereal or grilled cheese. I really need to make better dinner choices.

Since we are retired we eat early too, usually between 4:00 and 5:00. That is our only meal of the day besides cereal in the morning. I think as we get older the biggest meal might be at noon and then something really light in the evening. When eating out we usually go around 2-4 too, to avoid the crowds and to hopefully get fresh food, not something made ahead and warmed up.

No, dinner time has to fit around my work schedule. I usually work 5 pm to 11 pm. If I'm lucky I'll have time for a sandwich before I start but I usually eat a big lunch then just have some fruit when I finish work.

I usually start dinner around 4pm. If I'm cooking something from scratch I usually have dinner done by 5pm, 5:30pm or so if I'm making one particular dish (it takes forever on my electric stove to cook
). When I'm at my mom's house, dinner is started around 4pm but nothing is ready to eat until like 6pm because the meat is still frozen solid (Mom doesn't understand the concept of planning meals ahead of time
).

Weekdays are a crap shoot. Both Tom and I have long trips back home at the end of the day.  The earliest possible is after 7pm and sometimes later.  I purposely eat lunch on the late side because of it.

Weekends there is no set time but I try to have it done by 6pm.  Depends on what I'm cooking and how much prep time I need but rarely much later than that.

Usually anytime between 5 and 6. It's so weird to go to others' houses where they eat at 7 or later. This is the first time I've seen so many people say they eat as early as we do (or earlier)! Almost everyone I know eats dinner later in the day.

It's hard to have a set time now that I work 2 jobs, but when I'm off at night I try to have supper ready no later than 6 pm. Before I worked at night we always ate at 6pm.

Depending on whose cooking we eat anywhere from 6:30 to 8pm.  I would love to eat earlier but Steve doesn't get home until 6:30.  Sometimes earlier or later.  Now he is used to eating late so even on weekends it is later.

I work 1st shift so when I get out in the afternoon I am usually starving. I don't eat lunch most days or I eat lunch around 11 am so by 4 pm I am STARVING. I cook as soon as I get home from work and the store...so usually 5pm at the latest. If its a long prep time then we eat when its done-around 6pm. But most days we eat at 4 or 5 pm. I don't like to eat later. Otherwise I am too hungry then I end up eating junk food on the way home from work after stopping at the grocery store...hard to shop and not be hungry..I am always hungry!

There are people who eat dinner at 10pm, 11 pm
I knew someone in high school who ate dinner that late. Neither of her parents worked late or anything so I don't know why they had dinner so late.

My hubby gets home from work around 6:30pm during the week and he does most of the cooking. We usually eat around 7-7:30. On my days off when I cook during the week I try to have dinner ready when he gets home.

When we go out on Friday nights for karaoke we eat dinner at the bar around 9pm. The bar we go to when we go out on Saturday does not serve food. We usually eat around 7pm. Sunday's we usually eat dinner by 6:30 pm. Our nights out on the weekends alternate,

I'm single so I eat whenever. Sometimes late, sometimes early, whatever works. My parents tend to eat late, probably 8 or 9 most days. They both work full-time, and my dad would eat canned Dinty Moore beef stew for every meal if left to his own devices, so it's up to my mom to make something, and she usually wants to relax and dink around on Facebook for awhile after work before starting dinner.

Definitely no set time. It all depends on what time I get home. Usually between 6 and 7 The first thing I do when I get home is walk the dog and then feed her and the kitties. After that I can think about my dinner. Most of the time it's just me so it's something quick like a veggie stir fry with pasta or sandwiches

I have no set time to eat any of my meals.  Since I don't work, I have no schedule, I eat pretty much when I'm hungry.  When my SO is here, I wait for him to come home from work and we eat than which is around 6pm or so.

If it is on a day off, then usually around 4-4:30  pm. If working, then around 6 when I get home.

Or if having a later work shift, I stuff myself with some food around 9-10:30 pm
or make sure to eat really well prior, and good snacks throughout the period.
