Raw Boost treat weirdo

My cat gets treats from time to time and loves Friskies Party Mix. Well I decided to try Nature's Variety minis and she's acts so funny when she gets one. She shakes her head like she's killing prey and hides under the table to eat it. One time her tail even puffed up. It's pretty cute. Just wondering why she's so protective over it!

Honestly I think it's most likely your cat is just playing   This behavior doesn't sound that strange to me. Are there other cats in your household? Maybe she's trying to protect the treat from them?

Yep I have another cat. I just think it's funny that she won't do this with any other treat! She must really dig it.

I reckon it's tapping into her hunting instinct.. probably smells a bit more like something a cat would go for in the wild (not that I know the product.. we don't have it in Australia - so I'm guessing)
