my 2 will be a year old in march and i want to do something special for them

they already have there raw minces and atm treats are little dried fishes and chicken hearts

I want to get them somethign nice to have as a treat on their birthday, i was initally thinking a big fish but after reading in to ti everythign is pointing to fish not being very good for cats so thats put me off that idea

I'm not really sure what else they would go wild for though, also bareing in mind im vegan so not fnacying anything too grim aka i couldnt do a rabbit or baby chick or anything like that for them,

any ideas ?

Fish would probably be fine for a special occasion! It's not recommended that they eat fish for every meal because heavy metals can build up in their system, but once in a while is okay.

Fish is absolutely fine as an occasional treat. Smaller species of fish are usually less worrisome that bigger species, but go for whatever you think your cats will like. Just remember that the birthday treat shouldn't make up more than 10% of their ration for the day ;)

A lot of cats absolutely LOVE freeze dried raw too - its a different texture and is much stinkier than fresh raw. Might be worth a go too :yummy:

I froze her raw food into a cube shape and stuck some home diy dehydrated chicken strips to act as candles [emoji]128514[/emoji] she had a blast
