Why do they make turd colored cat toys?

Lurking somewhere in my bedroom is a small brown mouse.  Not pleasant to get up at night and see that brown blob and think there is a mess to clean up.  Yes, it moves around at night.  I am very nearsighted an it takes a few minutes to focus.

I just noticed a brown ball lurking by my stairs, nice and shiny and wet looking.  eeewwee  I don't even know where this ball came from.

LOL Midi has a catnip cigar that always makes me do a double take 

Ha ha ha ha!  I've got two of those poop-like cigars hiding somewhere in my apartment.  All my cats have always loved them.  I suppose they are brown to be lifelike, but I remember these bubble gum cigars you used to be able to get that were all different colors.  Maybe you still can?  I haven't seen them for awhile.  


The point is:  cat cigars don't have to look like poop!

Mook has a toy mouse that looks real. I can't count how many times I've been picking up cat toys to vacuum and done a double take. Mercy has her brown spit covered fuzzy.

I bought a yellow catnip-filled banana and now it's turd colour....

We have that too. I can't tell you how many times I woke up with that nasty thing next to my face :/

Sort of like Mercy's brown fuzzy.

So happy my 'gifts' are left near the bed and not on it!

Too funny.  Just the other morning as I walked thru the dining room to fetch breakfast for the cats, I found a large, brown present laying on the oriental rug.  What a way to start the day.  Not once in 5 years have Archie or Lucy ever missed the litter box.  So I gathered up the cleaning supplies, bent down to scoop up the mess with a paper towel and discovered the hardest turd you can imagine.  It freaked me out.  I carried it into the kitchen to get a better look.  Upon further inspection, I discovered a brown, cigar like plastic tube.  I have no idea where it came from.  Or where the cats found it.  But what a relief.  Whew.
