This is Willow. Last time I checked she was 10 lbs...I think that's when she was 8 months old. She is almost 10 months old now. What kind of cat would you call her?

I'm on my phone and it's hard to tell from the pictures if she is a blue tabby (grey stripes, lighter grey background) or silver (black stripes on very light greyish/white background). I'm thinking she is Blue...and if so, she would be a:

Blue Tabby (color), Domestic Medium Hair (breed).

I can't see her sides well to see if she is Classic (swirl pattern) or Mackerel Tabby (vertical stripes) but I think I see stripes on her side so I'm going with Blue Mackeral Tabby....

I ALSO love her cute poofy tail too! :-D

Yep!
So she is definitely a Blue Mackeral Tabby (color and pattern). And since she is not papered....she is a Domestic Medium Hair (breed) because she has that awesome poofy tail and medium length hair elsewhere. Very pretty cat! :-)

I think she is domestic longhair.  Probably diluted tortie.   But, Im not sure her weight is just muscles, bones and lotsa of fur.  I suspect its quite a some fat too...

What is she eating?

I knew she was a domestic longhair. I was just trying to see if she resembled a purebred. She eats Purina One cat food.

Does she eats wet food too?  I (and many others) would recommend canned wet food as base in her diet (or a home made raw food - variation),

and if and when you use dry food, be sure there are as few carbos and fillers in there as practically possible.  In practice, the animal contend shall be very high, high in proteines and rather high in fats.

Many dry foods for indoor cats try to reduce fats, but if so, instead of compensate by incrreasing protein contend, they increase the carbo contend.  Or at very best, the contend of vegetarian protein contend.  While proteins and fats fo vegetarian sources is of limited use for cats.

High carbo contend does directly cause fat - may do it in humans, does it surely in cats whom are obligate carnivores. "mandatory meat-eaters"

No she doesn't eat wet food. I buy her Purina One cat food (chicken flavor). look at the ingredients and % of carbs and protein etc. and let me know if I need to get a different type of food. She has all of this loose fat in her tummy and it hangs almost as if she is pregnant. But she's not because she is spayed. I usually give her 1/2 C during the day and then 1/4 cup at night.
