Are there other kinds of cat food you can try? She may not like this kind. It is very important that she not go more than 24 hours without eating as it can lead to liver disease. She also does have to eat cat food as it is nutritionally balanced for cats.

Trying some other brands is a good idea. Cats can be incredibly fussy about their food preferences. You might find the tips and tricks in this article helpful in persuading her to try the cat food [article="31138"][/article]

If your cat is determined not to eat cat food, you could try making your own. Check out the [thread="263751"][/thread] and [thread="272287"][/thread] for balanced homemade recipes. If you choose this route its VITAL to follow the recipie exactly to make sure your cat is getting everything she needs.

You never know though till you try! Some cats will just refuse a lot of things but there will be that one food that they just love.

She needs specific nutrients in cat food, especially taurine. Otherwise her organs, bones, and eyes are at risk. You may need to try every cat food available to find one she likes, or you can make your own as long as you include a pre-mixed nutrient powder for cats.

You can find raw and home cooked recipes and tips here: http://www.thecatsite.com/f/65/raw-home-cooked-cat-food

Making cat food is not as simple as putting meat and other things into a bowl. The food must be nutritionally complete or the cat will develop nutritional deficiencies. Home cooked raw is  great option for those cats who won't eat raw meat.

For home cooked recipies that are complete and balanced, see this thread: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/263751/cooked-recipes-thread One super easy way to make home cooked cat food is to gently cook ground or chopped up meat in a pot (no oil, no salt / pepper, nothing), then add in the U Stew pre mix and some water. The product is sold online from the company web site: https://www.knowbetterpetfood.com/order_now There's an international option if you are outside the US and Canada. Don't confuse U Stew with the other product for cats which is called Better In The Raw. Better In The Raw is for raw meat only. It does not contain the necessary extra vitamins and minerals for cooked meat (cooking causes some nutrient loss).

Have you asked the vet for advice on how to get your cat to eat? Has the cat been to the vet recently for a check up? Dental issues can make eating difficult.

You need to try every cat food you can find.  I realize that this isn't convenient, but some cats are picky.  The other option is using a topper on your cat food that can attract them to it.  You could mix in a bit of the meat she's been eating, use bonito flakes, fortiflora, all options.

If she has just been eating cooked human food she is not getting the nutrients she needs and it is very dangerous for her.  Just wanted to stress that.

I feed my kitties a huge myriad of canned foods, as well as dry food. Friskies, Fancy Feast, Science Diet, Weruva are probably what I'd call my "mainstay" at the moment. I also have Nutro Max, Soulistic, and probably a couple others I'm not remembering at the moment. I don't know if you have all or any of these where you are at. But I agree with talkingpeanut - just pick up a can of every cat food you can find and try it. Also try dry if she absolutely refuses every canned food. Cat food - even dry - is ultimately better for her than plain human food.

Just to be clear - its absolutely fine to give a little human food (plain cooked meats, cooked eggs, cheese etc) as an occasional treat. It just isn't safe to feed it exclusively, as it won't be nutritionally balanced.

If you have the time and your cats prefer home cooked food, you could consider making a balanced cooked diet for them. As I said before, there are plenty of balanced cat food recipies in the [thread="263751"][/thread]. If you like the idea of feeding raw, check out the [thread="272287"][/thread]. Any of these recipes are good choices and are perfectly safe to feed long term :)

The only other option is to keep trying commercial cat foods until you find one they like. This article has lots of tips and tricks to get cats used to eating a different style and type of food[article="31138"][/article]

Cooked food is fine but it has to be balanced with all the vitamins and minerals a cat needs. I posted info about a pre-mix for home cooked diets above. Columbine posted the link to the home cooked recipies thread. Please read through it and find a diet that works for your cat.

What country do you live in? Is buying food online an option?

Nope she still refuse to eat cat foods, she keeps eating the meat that she used to eat from the beggining,
