When will my cat come into heat?

Hi my cat came into heat on the 1st of January and we bred her with our vasectomized tom to bring her out of her heat. Normally we just let her cycle but I don't want to risk it. So I was told by other cat breeders she would come back into heat in a month. It's over a month now and shes still not in heat. Does anyone have any experiences as to when she'll come back into heat?

Can the scent of a intact male cat bring a female into estrus a few days earlier than expected. As in push the heat forwards a few days?

I don't know if it's a proven fact or not. . .but from my own experience, yes. I believe a mature tomcat in close proximity will accelerate estrus in a female.

Can a tom whose been fixed have sex?  Sperm is viable a week after he's been fixed.   Are you sure she isn't pregnant?

Yes.  In lack of a mature tom, its possible to have some used litter.  Or your socks, carried in the toms home.  Anybodys socks, will do, but we dont want to make the female nervous.

You can also try with extra e-vitamine.

But you wrote your own ex-tom is vasectomized, so he has all his hormones intact, no?   Its just the semen which cant come out.  You can still try with some other toms smell and feromenes, but the success less obvious.

He was not neutered, but rather had a vasectomy? When was the vasectomy performed?

A few years ago now.

Okay, so he's not fertile. She will go into heat again eventually. Heat cycles are not on a particular calendar. Do you plan to spay her?
