I have a new kitten we have adopted. She is so sweet but at night and in the morning before I get up she will start kneeding on me. She uses her claws on my face and neck. How can I stop this behavior? Thank you

The isn't much you can do except not letting her sleep with you. You can also cut her nails every week or every other week so they aren't sharp.

This is a sign of love and trust, so I would try to take it as a compliment, while trying to make it less painful!

We clip our cats' claws every week to make it so that we don't have to constantly worry about prickly cat claws. Kitten claws are very sharp, so I definitely know your pain! There are also claw covers that you can put over the nails to make them not scratch. I think they're called soft paws.

Soft paws and soft claws are the nail covers. They work really well! It's a little difficult to get them on if your kitty isn't used to or thrilled about it but they stop scratching from being destructive or painful, and they're cute too!

I agree with the clipping or claw covers. Also, maybe tuck a hand towel or tshirt under your pillow so you can whip it out when your kitten starts kneading?
