Placenta for first baby finally came out so I am feeling better. Daisy is doing a great job.
This is her first and OnLY litter. She is 9 months old & this was not in my plans for her.

They could be twins if they share a placenta.  Is she able to clean the sacks from the kittens?

She did clean the sacs from the placenta in pretty short order.
The 4th baby was still born, she wouldn't do anything but clean the sac from it and leave it to the side, it started losing its heat immediately, there was never any movement, even when I tried to stimulate it. So we are sad to have lost this little one but it doesn't look quite right so I think it was for the best.

Daisy with the first 3 babies. The 4th one was still born, it never moved our anything. She cleaned the sac off but that was all she would do. It doesn't lik quite right so I believe it was for the best, but we are still very sad to loose such a tiny little thing.

Lovely family!

Make sure mom has some food and water nearby.  She isn't going to want to move too far from the nest.

Nice job! You can give her clean, dry bedding as well. They look fabulous and busy nursing. So sorry about the stillborn. It probably had a birth defect.

Thanks y'all! She's got her food & water in here and litter box just outside the door. She is purring away. I've tried to get her to let me weigh them but she wasn't having any of that so i will bide my time till she is busy doing something else.
I have another next box that is a little bigger for her that I will move her into once she will let me.I really appreciate all your support.

Thanks, I think they are precious myself but I'm a very proud great grandma when it comes to these kitties. ;)
On a more serious note, I think I have figured out why we lost the other white one. The first one came but before that placenta came the black one came. Then the placenta came for the first one & for the second one. the third one came with placenta right behind. The still born one came but there is nothing left. I have massaged her tummy like I used to help with when I worked in the hospital and I'm not feeling anything unusual. I feel sure that this little one we lost was the first one's twin. They are identical except this one was way smaller.
I'm still keeping a close eye on her and will take her to our vet at the first sign of trouble.

Oh also, that one placenta was larger than the other two placentas were.

I think you nailed it on the head. I agree. The twins were in the sac together, and there's no way the stillborn one would have survived as it sounds like she did not develop properly. It sounds like all is well! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Sarthur2 Sarthur2 it is going great! Daisy is still just purring away in there & the 3 babies are still eating every time I peek in to check on them. I'm tickled that she approves of the nesting box, she didn't pay it one bit of attention till she was in labor and I put it on the bed beside me & put her in it. :D

I'm very proud of her, she doesn't go far from them & even ran Meera back out of the house tonight when she came in. Meera is 3 times her size so it was pretty funny.
