Their nipples are filling with milk. You may even see a white crust, which is dried milk that has leaked. It's perfectly normal. If you suspect chapping, just put olive or vegetable oil on them. Never baby oil! And the bottom two nipples always get the biggest! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

It's fine.  Can you move the first kitten into the nest and do you have some sort of heating pad for it until mom is ready to join it. Mom wants you to sit with her while she is giving birth.

Yeah shes so happy that i am with her now. If i get up to go to another room she gets upsets. I think the one kitten is injures though hes having trouble moving. Idk if her milk is working too. The one who is nursing keeps moving to different nipples.

Update: A third kitty has joined us! I went to use the bathroom and she left the kids abd followed me. So i have decided to hold off on the bathroom. Also my male cat is locked in there. I feel terrible but i dont know if he will try and hurt them. :((

The nipples will fill with milk soon. In the meantime, the kittens may try different nipples, and they are getting colostrum while the milk comes in. Are there still just 3 kittens? Newborn kittens can only crawl. There may not be anything wrong with the kitten. It may just be adjusting to life for a few minutes. If they haven't latched on, put them to mom's nipples. You may want to put your male cat in a room besides the bathroom for now. How are things going? Is mom done now?

Hey guys! Okay so now she had another. We have 4 in total. The male cat is the father he isnt fixed. The one who looked injured is orange i think and seems to be fine now!! :) ill post some pics. And all her nipples seem to be working now. I finally was able to make some dinner but she hasnt left my kitchen yet. I wanna move her but want to wait till she is done. Also i havent really notice any placentas! I just saw with this last kitty a pretty big sac thingy. Which she ate! Lol could that be a placenta??

Very sweet!  The sac was probably the placenta.

So, the issue with the intact male cat living in your home is that he can get your female pregnant again within the week.  She doesn't have to go into heat to get pregnant.  If you plan to get him fixed, which I'd advocate for, I would do it as soon as possible.  He will need to be separated from her unless supervised for around a month while you wait for the sperm to leave his system.  Ideally, this would be during the time that she's pretty much closed up with the kittens.  For the first 3 - 4 weeks she will want that dark, quiet nest in a closed off room and your male can have run of the house.

Yes, that was the placenta and mom cats eat them when they clean up the babies. Do you plan to move them later into another area? Also, do you plan to neuter the male? I'm glad they all seem okay!

Hey guys! Back again. So we did let the papa see his queen and babies. Hes been cleaning the queen for a while now and even cleaned one of the kids! We dont plan to leave him unwatched of course. Lol We were going to get her spayed but now that shes a mama its going to be difficult. The boy isnt spayed because he was unhealthy and my vet actually encourage me to keep him intact because the testostorone would help his immune system and growth. He used to be 4 weeks under weight as a kitten now hes 16lbs!

Yes, mom cats will spot a little for a few days after giving birth. It should get less and less though. Sounds like your male cat can be neutered anytime now that he's all grown to full size. Sweet of him to lick mom. Good to supervise him around the babies for now. Mom can be spayed when the kittens are weaned around 8 weeks, but she may go into heat before then, so the male needs neutering. Humane Societies offer low-cost spays and neuters. Please call!

Awww congratulations they're all so beautiful! Mama is a gorgeous cat. Thank you for taking such good care of her. Sure it's another cat adding kittens to the world, but at least she's not on the street with her babies, and can be spayed soon. There's always another way to look at the situation, I wish people understood that.

She will leak a little bit of blood, perfectly normal. It's just the after birth, you might see some for the next few days also. Just keep an eye out for any green or yellowish discharge, that could indicate infection, but I'm certain that everything is just fine.

Post more when you can! I'm currently waiting for my two rescues (biological sisters) to give birth! Any day now. :)

Yeah! Thank you all so much. I will keep updating this for the next for days and weeks probably. Just to make sure everything is going well. She was a rescue! I found her in a bush about 1 year ago. I waited close to 40minutes for her to finally come out to me. My male cat actually helped raised her. Hes also my rescue. He was born in my bush by a feral i was taking care of. Sadly all his siblings passed away. :( probably why im such anxious for my girl! Lol
