Hey, everyone! The name's Wolfrott - 28, female, hailing from Australia.

My family have owned many cats and dogs, and presently one cat (and dog) a rescue, Luna.

I'll share photos soon! She is a big tabby moggy, a runaway on fireworks night and abandoned by her prior owners, she found our place and decided to hang around. She grew up apparently with dogs so she loves our cairn terrier, going on walks, grooming her, sharing toys, etc,

Welcome to the Cat Site! We'd love to see pictures of Luna.

None of the Aussies on the site have mentioned fireworks night. When is that? Ours is July 4, Independence Day, or to the British Empire, the day we got away.

I live in the NT, the only place in Australia that hasn't banned fireworks night (or cracker night), its like your 4th of July, we celebrate the day we became a territory/independent. You can buy fireworks to celebrate in your own home, but most people take it as an opportunity to chuck them under cars or to scare pets, so animals often run away and tragically get into accidents.

Hello Wolfrott, and welcome to the site..  Nice to have another person from our time zone..

I'm grateful we don't have fireworks down here in Brisbane.. the thunderstorms are enough to scare the furries.
